The True Israelite

Romans 11:24 - For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?

The generation of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were called Israel - the people (princes) of God. These people latter, since they dwelt in Judah were called Jews.

Many Church leaders especially of Christian Churches give very high status to the Jews and to their country Israel.

Concerning the truth of this (mystery) Paul explains to the people of Rome in his letter.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ understand by birth you do not become a Christian. No doubt the blessings and the promises of the Lord pass on to you from your parents, yet you really become a Christian when you believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and follow Him.

In the same fashion Jews who were called Israelites lost their inheritance in the Lord when they cease to believe in God. Although they continue their faith in the Torah - books of Moses, but when they rejected Jesus Christ of whom Moses wrote, they indirectly have rejected Moses.

One may be born an Israelite, but gets confirmed as an Israelite when they believe in the Word of God which became flesh - The seed of Abraham - Jesus Christ. So in reality the Jews no longer are the true Israelites but Christians become the true Israelites.

Paul says in his letter to the Romans that they should not be arrogant towards the Jews who lost their inheritance, but fear that they too do not lose by unbelief like them. It is by belief you receive salvation in Jesus Christ and become a true Israelite and by unbelief you lose it all.

No doubt the Bible is full of prophesies with regards to the Jews (Israel) but one should realize almost all prophesies are multi dimensional, prophesies came true in flesh and in spirit, more than one time.

Let me take an example -

Matthew 24:16-22 – this prophesy which Jesus was explaining was quoted from the book of Daniel (chapter 12) and Daniel was explained by the Lord when he was meditating on the book of Joel (chapter 2). These prophesy came true in the 70AD (recorded in Maccabees - Apocrypha) and will come again in full force during the end days.

Paul reconfirms the true Israelite in many places in his letters which is by faith in Jesus Christ. Like a true Israelite is by faith, so also the true Holy Land in not on earth but is Heaven, where the Holiness and Glory of God is present. If this glory of God is shown in us the place we stand becomes Holy Land and the things we touch become blessed (our anointing passes through them).

[ Reference Scriptures ]
Romans 11:13-27
13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
14 If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.
15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?
16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.
17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.
20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.
24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?
25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

Matthew 24:16-22
16 then let them that are in Judaea flee unto the mountains:
17 let him that is on the housetop not go down to take out things that are in his house:
18 and let him that is in the field not return back to take his cloak.
19 But woe unto them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days!
20 And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on a sabbath:
21 for then shall be great tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

Romans 4:13-14
13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:

Romans 9:7-8
7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

Galatians 3:16,28-29
16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
