Seek Zion and the Lord will restore you

Jeremiah 30:17 - For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.

Our God is an awesome God; even in his righteousness his mercy overflows its banks. If we keep pursuing Him and his fortified city Zion, He assures us a total change in our situation, our external and our internal situations will be made perfect.

So where is Zion? And how do we get there?

The way to Zion is through Jerusalem.

Zion is not a place in the country Israel, nor is the real Jerusalem whom the Lord refers mostly in the Bible as the place in the country Israel. 'Jerusalem' means 'teaching of peace'. It is a state of spiritual life where we firstly pursue peace with God and then with man (mainly his children). People do not find Zion because they do not know Jerusalem. Their Jerusalem is either a place or a topsy-turvy state of spiritual life, where peace with man (mostly with those who do not know God) and then peace with God is pursued.

Jesus can be found in Jerusalem (spiritual Jerusalem) and therefore we need to go there. Follow His instructions for they will lead us to Zion. The world will tell us that there is nothing like Zion - 'perfect state of peace'. In this world of total chaos, everyone has to suffer; suffering is a way of life. Do not give into their words, our Zion starts in this world and ends in Heaven; keep pursuing Zion.

[ Reference Scriptures ]
Jeremiah 30:15-17
15 Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.
16 Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey.
