My people shall never be ashamed

Joel 2:27 - And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.

People take part of scriptures and delude themselves into believing lies. They think once they become a Christian (call themselves one) they are sure-shoot going to Heaven.

Like today's scripture would be taken and people think the Lord will do all the work irrespective of whatever happens. Great Faith!

The other scriptures they will ignore and discard them as dirt.

Take the example of the Israelites the ones who left Egypt, of all of them only two actually entered into their promise, the others all died in the desert. The reason they kept disobeying God again and again. The Israelites did receive their promise of entering the promise land but where were the ones which started the journey? Even people like Moses and Aaron failed. It is not that they will not enter Heaven, through the story of the Israelites the Lord is showing us the real story, how even great anointed men can be calamities and simple people like Caleb and Joshua can have victory. All they did is, knew who their God is and never distrusted Him or leave Him. They were not perfect people, but their relation with God was perfect.

In today's scripture the Holy Spirit who is the Former Rain which came moderately (in the Old Testament) and the Latter Rain which came through the First – Lord Jesus Christ (the word month is not part of the scripture, but added for readability) tells us only by abiding in Him will we be blessed in all things.

No man or woman, dead or alive can be our assurance to enter Heaven. After we are baptized in Jesus Christ, even Jesus takes the back seat what remains with us is His Testimony and His Spirit. Therefore He points to us xclearly that He is seated in Heaven and will intercede for us. To help us He gave us His Spirit. It is only by His Spirit and no one else that our victory is assured.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord God, Your Son came as man to open the gates of Heaven for us and to show us the way to enter Heaven. By His dead and resurrection He made available His Spirit for us. Holy Spirit, You are the only one can make our entering into Heaven possible. Although Jesus opened the gates and showed us the way, it is not possible for man to walk that way without You. Help us Holy Spirit as we hold on unto You with our every strength, and be merciful to us as You take us into our inheritance in Father God...

We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

27 And ye shall know that I < am > in the midst of Israel, and < that > I < am > the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.

Zerubbabel (Zorobabel) was one among the genealogy of Jesus and the point of split between the linkage through Joseph [Matthew 1] and Mary [Luke 2].
Zachariah 4:2-7
2 And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof:
3 And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.
4 So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord?
5 Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.
6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.

Mark 16:19
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

1 Peter 3:21-22
21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
