John 10:15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
I mentioned before that my study of biblical languages (Hebrew and Greek) started with trying to understand the relationship between the triune Godhead. As I dug deeper, it got more complicated until finally, in the New Testament, I read what Jesus disclosed. That cleared everything and made the OT scriptures on that matter simpler to understand.
The problem is that we used pagan approaches and examples to understand the Divine God. This has prevented us from knowing God.
In today’s scripture, Jesus says He knows the Father and the Father knows Him. The first part is exclusive. There are 3 scripture which state He alone has seen the Father. If truly understood, this will baffle all our understanding of the Father/God.
Let us discern what we have received from man and stick to that which we receive from scriptures. It is only then that we will understand God.

Lord, You are Almighty God. You, Lord, are Creator, and everything is created by You. You alone are God, and You alone are Holy. Lord, we pray we realise it is only in knowing the purpose for which You created us that we will know You and vice-versa. We pray we cleanse all that we have received from man and stick to that which we receive from You, for only from You comes the Truth, Truth that sets us free…
