Romans 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
If we understand the whole battle against darkness (evil), we will realise God did not take the easy path. He would have destroyed those fallen by just a word, but He did not; He even gave them time before they received their punishment.
God made a mere, weak man to be the instrument that fights against this darkness. Knowing man is very weak and not able to fight this evil, He Himself entered into the battle, but not as God but as mere man in the flesh.
God is fighting evil through us at the lowest level so that evil will be finished once and for all. Let us understand our battle is just impossible without the intervention of Christ. Without Christ, there is no way we can overcome sin; it is only with His help that we have hope to overcome.

Lord, You are Almighty God. You, Lord, are Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and Omniscient. Yet in Your Wisdom You did not immediately destroy evil when it sprouted; You set the stage for evil to be destroyed once and for all, and for this battle You set a mere man to fight instead of the mighty Angels. Lord, You are never wrong. We pray, we believe in You and continue this battle relentlessly…
