2 Corinthians 8:8 I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love.
Paul in his letters (written by him and his team, sometimes himself) was very clear what is inspired/as per Scripture, and when he wrote according to his understanding, not sure it was right or not.
Today’s scripture, we see Paul confirming something that he was not very sure about but shared his personal experience.
When we share the Word, we should be very careful about what is our own and what is of God. It is only when we draw that line that what is our own will reduce more and more. Paul drew that line; therefore, we see that this is mentioned in just 4 or 5 instances.
What we see happening with Preachers today is that they share more of their conclusions as the Word, and people believe them more than what the Word of God says. They read the Word yet se their conclusion more than what the Word says. It is for this reason that they do Lord, Lord and still are far from the Lord.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are Almighty God. You are Holy God. You are Perfect in every way. Lord, we pray we do not make ourselves Your enemies by misinterpreting Your Word and making You a liar. Lord, we pray we learn to draw the line as to what is from You and what is according to our understanding…
We make this prayer in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.
1 Corinthians 7:25-26
25 Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful.
26 I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, [I say], that [it is] good for a man so to be.
1 Corinthians 7:39-40
39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
40 But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit of God.
