Luke 21: 24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

In OT, we see the Israelite tribes divided into two groups: one called Judah and the other Israel. Those of Judah dwelled in the southern part with Jerusalem as their capital; they were later called Jews. The Israel group dwelled in the northern part of the land, with Samaria as their capital; they were later called Samarians. The relationship between Jews and Samaritans was like that between India and Pakistan. Their hate was rooted in religious matters, and ironically, neither was right in the eyes of God.

Today’s scripture refers to a prophecy that points to multiple events. One event was fulfilled in 70AD with the city being destroyed by the Romans. The second speaks of the spiritual loss of the Jews by their rejecting Jesus Christ and the Gentiles accepting Him.

Yesterday USA and Israel started a war with Iran, and the timing of today’s scripture shows that things will not go well for Israel. Even its winning will be at a great cost, and this is because the Lord is not happy with it. The last time a similar message was received, we saw that very soon there was a shower of missiles on Israel, and their air defence system (Iron Dome) could not sustain it.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are Almighty God. You, Lord, are Merciful Lord. You are slow to anger and forgiving, but if we do not repent from our ways, You do respond. Lord, we pray we do not take You or Your Covenant for granted…

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
