Psalms 85:1 LORD, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.
Today’s title has nothing to do with the soft-cane dendrobiums (orchid plant stem, called soft-cane); the message is to do with the regular cane used to chastise, but one that is soft so that it does not hurt too much.
Today’s message speaks of the favour of the Lord and at the same time His chastising of His people. It speaks of Him chastising Jacob (the unredeemed man), who is promised to be transformed into Israel (Sons of God).
We who are in the Lord at times see problems happening, and these are mostly to bring correction into our lives. So instead of just praying for them, we are called to introspect into our lives and bring correction. Our prayers should be, Lord, if You are bringing correction into my life, help me overcome and walk perfectly before You like father Abraham, but if it is the work of the enemy, I take authority that You have given me and I rebuke it in Your Name, I command it to be moved…
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
