Matthew 8:16 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with [his] word, and healed all that were sick:

Faith grows from hope to authority, and in Jesus, we see a man of authority. He simply commanded the spirit to leave, and they did. What we need to see is that Jesus did not do any dramatics or shouting, but spoke in a firm, gentle voice, and they abided by His command. He did not command them as God but as an anointed Man. He gave this same authority to us.

Yesterday, we saw the faith of Ananias; today, we see it in Jesus Christ. Let us know who we are in Him and who He is; only then will we be able to manifest that kind of faith.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are Almighty God. You, Lord, are Spirit and understand only the language of faith. Lord, we pray that our language not be gibberish by our shaky faith. We pray we strengthen our belief in You by our understanding of You through Your Word…

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
