Ezekiel 24: 26-27 [That] he that escapeth in that day shall come unto thee, to cause [thee] to hear [it] with [thine] ears? In that day shall thy mouth be opened to him which is escaped, and thou shalt speak, and be no more dumb: and thou shalt be a sign unto them; and they shall know that I [am] the LORD.

Some people truly love the Lord and diligently follow Him, thus experience His glory quickly and are sturdy in their lives. Problems may come, but then they do not shake them or in other words, have little effect.

Then there are the others who try to do a business deal with the Lord; they think they can use the Lord, they try to twist things/truth as per their convenience. Today’s scripture speaks of those whom the Lord takes through fire, and they that survive see the glory of God.

We need to understand that the Lord who has called us will not easily give up on us. We have a choice to fall on the Rock and be crushed or let the Rock fall on us and crush us. In both situations, death is inevitable. In the first case, we die a carnal death and live spiritually, eternally. In the second case, we live a short carnal life but then risk an eternal death.

Let us not take the Lord to be a fool or a man whom we can entice. He is God, and we are not even dust before Him. Let us not take His love or us for granted and abuse it.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are Almighty God. You, Lord, are God, yet You love us greatly. You risked and risk a lot for us. Lord, we pray we stand up to Your Name. We pray we diligently seek You, Your Word and Your Kingdom…

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
