Acts 22:15 For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.<\/p>\n
This Sunday, there was preaching on the topic \u2018Living as sent out people\u2019. The Preacher was seen delicately balancing between giving the message and offending\/scaring the people. In his heart, he knew if he truly gave the message, he would see fewer people the next Sunday.<\/p>\n
We see in the book of Acts that people did not fear to witness Christ. They were persecuted and had to flee their homes, yet they stood as witnesses to the testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n
Compare this to today\u2019s Christians, who will flee from the truth and also forsake Christ, even if their secure jobs or livelihoods are under threat, forget about lives under threat. It is only in small Churches we see people passionate about their faith in Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n
The Greek word ekklesia, which is translated as Church, is misinterpreted as a congregation or gathering of people, but in actuality, it is a compound word meaning people \u2018out\u2019 on a \u2018call\/mission\u2019.<\/p>\n
Church is more about going out doing the mission of Christ, rather than gathering of people. We gather to reinforce each other, build and testify (give our report).<\/p>\n
People do not realise one is a Christian only when one witnesses Christ unto others and builds others in Christ. Christianity is not a religion, nor a relationship with God, but a mission given by God. It is when we do the mission that we build the relationship, and that relationship further helps us do the mission.<\/p>\n
Let us not forget the words of Jesus \u2018Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God\u2019. We will not get to enter Heaven if we are ashamed of our faith or of the Lord Christ.<\/p>\n

\nLord, You are Almighty God. You Lord called us to be the Light in the darkness. As Son of Man, You witnessed the love and plans of God for us. We as your disciples are called to witness You so that people may know of the love and plans set for us…<\/p>\n
