Like the Hebrew word ‘midbar’ translated as ‘wilderness’ comes from the word ‘dabar’, which means to speak, to converse, to declare. So here, not used in the sense of wilderness, but in the sense of being in a conversation. The word ‘Achor’ means ‘trouble’, the word translated as to allure means ‘to be open’, ‘to be spacious’.

The Lord says through His Word He will transform them, and she/they will worship Him like the Israelites did when they came out of Egypt (they sang Psalms 91/the song of Moses).

The word ‘Ishi’ is another word for man. The Hebrew word ‘Adam’, translated as ‘man’ means ‘reddish’ and speaks of fullness of life, while the word ‘ishi’ means mortal, one set to die. The word Baali means ‘unknown God/god’. Verse 16 speaks of lost people who have been part of the false Church will see His death and know Him as God.

We just celebrated the Passover week. It is His death and resurrection that changes our perspective of Jesus Christ and lets us know Him for Who He is [I AM]. We, too, are called to forsake Adam and be Ishi, not seek worldly life; it is only when we do that we become part of Him and He no longer becomes Baali/unknown God for us.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are Almighty God. Ypu Lord are Life and all life comes from You. Since we have become corrupt due to sin we are called to die to be reborn. Your Word says if we seek this life we will losse it, it is only when we are willing to die for Your purpose that we receive eternal life…

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Hosea 2:7 And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find [them]: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then [was it] better with me than now.

Isaiah 54:5 For thy Maker [is] thine husband; the LORD of hosts [is] his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.

Jeremiah 3:14 Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:

Ezekiel 23:4 And the names of them [were] Aholah the elder, and Aholibah her sister: and they were mine, and they bare sons and daughters.
