SUMMARY:While under the Fig Tree
DESCRIPTION:John 1: 48 Nathanael saith unto him\, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him\, Before that Philip called thee\, when thou wast under the fig tree\, I saw thee. \nNathanael means ‘gift of God’\, Philip means lover of horses (horses symbolise prosperity)\, and the fig tree symbolises people (not people of God\, which is symbolised as the olive tree). \nThe scripture tells us Nathanael was identified for spiritual prosperity while he was one of the people. \nWe see the moment Phillip told him about Jesus while he was standing under the fig tree\, he doubted Phillip\, for Nathanael remembered scriptures (history) about how the people of Galilee were in great darkness\, and also he himself was from Galilee\, but he forgot the words of Isaiah\, which said the Saviour would be known in Galilee. \nJesus was born in Bethlehem\, and as an infant\, along with His parent they fled to Egypt for a period and then came to Galilee\, for it was the home of Mary (Joseph may have died in Egypt – which is not recorded). Mary\, being from Galilee\, was deeply involved in pagan rituals\, even though she loved the Lord. We see she tried to do Egyptian rituals of the dead on the body of Jesus on the third day\, as the sisters of Lazarus did with his body. Jesus cried at the tomb of Lazarus not because he was dead (Jesus knew of that long before and had come to bring him back to life)\, but cried because He was disheartened to see what they had done with his body. \nNathanael is believed to be Bartholomew\, one of the twelve Apostles chosen by Jesus\, as he was a native of Cana in Galilee. \nIn OT\, we see the Holy Spirit as a pillar of fire/cloud\, who was with the Israelites even before they crossed the Red Sea (which is symbolic of baptism). God was with us even before we decided to follow Him\, and because He was with us\, we have been able to choose Him. \n[Prayer Starter]\nLord\, You are Almighty God. You\, Lord\, are Love. Although Your Love was manifested on the Cross\, it is evident that You loved us even before we knew You. SUMMARY:Father honors the Son
DESCRIPTION:John 8:54 Jesus answered\, If I honour myself\, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say\, that he is your God: \nThe word honour is misunderstood as to glorify; one can glorify oneself\, but not honour oneself. In English\, the word honour means to respect\, to have esteem. It can be used as a verb\, noun or even adjective. Its rendering changes as a verb\, as a noun and as an adjective. \nIn Greek\, the word translated as honour is the word ‘doxazo’\, which comes from the root word to have an opinion\, to judge\, to preeminence… \nIn short\, as a noun\, it requires someone of greater authority or position\, as used in today’s scripture. A teacher can honor student\, a management its employee\, a head of an army its member. \nAs a verb\, even a person of a lower state can honour someone greater and vice versa\, like in 1 Samuel 2:30. We honour God and God honours us. \nAs an adjective like ‘honourable’\, it requires a lower state person to be honoured by a person of a greater state i.e. 2 Samuel 23:. \nOne might say we are called to honour our father and mother\, even though they are in a greater hierarchy than we\, so how does this logic apply? \nWe are indeed called to honour our father and mother\, even though they are of a higher hierarchy than we\, but the treasure lies in understanding it. We cannot honour them when fit or well to do in health\, thus when the Lord commanded we honour them is when they are unwell or old to take care of themselves. Thus\, showering love on them\, they are well-to-do\, is not honouring\, but when they are not\, it is. We read in yesterday’s message about being ‘ready for death’\, which means when they are weak mentally or physically\, we are called to honour them. \nGod the Father is eternal\, so also is the Son\, thus the Father is always greater than the Son. So the Son can glorify the Father but not honour Him\, it is the Father alone who can glorify the Son and also honour Him. \n[Prayer Starter]\nLord\, You are Almighty God. You God\, are Eternal for You have Life within You\, and since the Son came from within You so also does the Son have Life within Himself. SUMMARY:Ready to Die!
DESCRIPTION:Luke 7:2 And a certain centurion’s servant\, who was dear unto him\, was sick\, and ready to die. \nWe all know of the incident of the centurion whose faith surprised Jesus. Jesus went on to say that his faith was the greatest in the land\, including those amongst the Israelites. \nToday I am not going in that direction\, but what got my attention is the words ‘ready to die’\, which in other translations is given as ‘to the point of death’. Both try to convey the same message\, but the words ‘ready to die’ are hard-hitting and impactful\, causing us to understand death more deeply. \nWe all die a natural death when our spirit leaves our natural body. When this happens\, our natural body engine shuts down and starts to decay. The words ‘ready to die’ show us that there is a force that holds our spirit to our natural body\, and this force is reduced when we are naturally sick or mentally weak. This force is more mental than physical. \nJust working on building our natural body does not assure good natural life; we also need to be mentally healthy. The term psychosomatic disorders speaks of physical illnesses that originate from mental health and emotional distress. While the physical symptoms are absolutely real\, their root cause lies in how the mind processes stress\, trauma\, or emotional struggles. Sicknesses like Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) or stomach ulcers are highly responsive to emotional tension. Also\, unresolved mental stress can naturally lead to palpitations\, racing heart\, and elevated blood pressure. The list goes on… \nThe fact that the rich have lots of resources to take care of the natural body yet are highly prone to death because they lack mental health. On the other hand\, a poor man may not be physically top-notch but will live longer because of better mental health. \nThe comforts of this world do not guarantee a better life\, but only when we balance them with our spiritual life do we see a better\, longer life. \nLet us be mindful when we seek riches\, we also seek death; thus\, to have a better life\, we need to feed only our needs and not our wants. We need to grow from tithing to giving (letting our cups overflow instead of enlarging our cups). \n[Prayer Starter]\nLord\, You are Almighty God. Lord\, You are Spirit\, You are Awesome. You\, Lord\, made us spirits and put us in this natural body in the wombs of our mothers. SUMMARY:The Betrayal
DESCRIPTION:Mark 14: 10\, 11 And Judas Iscariot\, one of the twelve\, went unto the chief priests\, to betray him unto them. And when they heard [it]\, they were glad\, and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him. \nToday\, if any person is found guilty of a crime\, the person’s identity must first be confirmed\, and the crime must then be proved beyond a doubt. If it is a murder\, then not just the body and weapon need to be produced as evidence\, but even the intention needs to be produced for a clear judgment. \nIn the Roman era and the medieval era\, this was not the approach. To identify a person\, any person who can confirm the person’s identity is sufficient. Coming to the crime\, the prosecution does not need to prove the accusation; instead\, the accused needs to prove one’s innocence. \nIn the case of Jesus\, there were many accusers for various so-called crimes\, but they lacked someone who could step forward to identify Him. The Jewish accusers\, that is\, the Priests and clergy\, found this person in Judas. Judas was close to Jesus and followed Him wherever He went. Judas even performed miracles like others. But for Judas\, there came a point where money took a greater priority. This did not happen overnight\, but gradually happened over a long period. It started with him opting to be the finance manager of Jesus’ ministry; he held the purse. \nMy personal thoughts are that Judas was the son of Simon the Leper from Bethany (who was healed of leprosy). The events of betrayal were closed there\, and the freely outspokenness of Judas in that house\, which we did not see happening with him anywhere else. We also see that he is introduced in John not once but 4 times as the son of Simon. \nJudas had seen the favour of God and also experienced the glory of God\, yet greed kept him in darkness. He became the Pharaoh who also glorified God\, unlike the way Moses did. He also fulfilled the scriptures\, but the negative part. His end was pure destruction. \nIt is sad when Men of God who have experienced the favour of God and seen/been instruments of the glory of God\, due to greed\, become Judas. They do not accuse God of evil\, but in their evil\, they identify God as their Lord. Their end\, too\, like Judas’\, is pure destruction. \n[Prayer Starter]\nLord\, You are Almighty God. You are a Holy God. You are Perfect in every way. You are Light\, and there is no darkness in You. We pray\, Lord\, we do not take You for granted and let darkness anchor itself in us. SUMMARY:Ungodly powers
DESCRIPTION:Acts 8: 9\, 10 But there was a certain man\, called Simon\, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery\, and bewitched the people of Samaria\, giving out that himself was some great one: To whom they all gave heed\, from the least to the greatest\, saying\, This man is the great power of God. \nNot all spiritual powers are godly. Before I came to the Lord\, I was deep into palmistry and astrology. I used to not just disclose the future but also the past\, and they could confirm my reading. My accuracy was over 85percent. Later\, as I got deeper into it\, I realised I did not need to see their hand to read. I felt a dark power working through me. After coming into the Lord\, I had to rebuke the power within me and was set free from it. \nIn India\, we have many so-called ‘godmen’\, some do manifest powers\, and I had interaction with a couple of them. What I found their powers do not work when one is in the Lord. Like hypnotism does not work on everyone\, so also these powers do not work on everyone. Unless one submits to the power\, it has no hold on you. \nWe see in today’s scripture that the people assumed the powers that Simon manifested were from God; they submitted to them. It was only when Philip came onto the scene that they realised it was ungodly. Since Philip had discernment\, he could know the powers were ungodly. \nIt is only when we seek the purpose and to what end it is leading that we can discern if it is godly or ungodly. Philip\, while preaching\, healed and delivered many\, but the spirit/s in Simon was still holding on to him. It is only when the person/or one related to them\, seeks help that they can be set free. It requires a spiritually very mature person to remove the spirit from within an unwilling soul. \nToday\, being ‘Good Friday’\, we find some people manifesting nail marks on their hands or on their heads. This is known as Stigmata. It looks godly but is not. It is a very powerful\, ungodly power that deceives people far from God\, and that too while taking the Lord Jesus’ name. \nThe biggest problem comes when Men or Women of God (those with Callings) play with ungodly powers (this does happen when they harbour greed\, hate\, unforgiveness\, etc.)\, one cannot easily identify when they are speaking for/acting on behalf of God or under ungodly powers. This state does not last long when another Man/Woman of God is around. The hidden gets exposed. \nWe need to be careful\, even if we are in the Lord\, for these powers can have a hold on us if we do not have a hold of our desires or emotions. \n[Prayer Starter]\nLord\, You are Almighty God. You\, Lord\, are Light\, and when we are in You\, Your Light within us exposes and overcomes the darkness within us and within those around us. SUMMARY:Lord's Table or Devil's Table
DESCRIPTION:1 Corinthians 10: 21\, 22 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord\, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table\, and of the table of devils. Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he? \nToday\, Catholic’s and also many Believer Churches commemorate the Last Supper\, enacting the washing of feet\, breaking of bread and drinking of wine. What they do is nothing short of bad mimicry and provoking the Lord’s wrath. \nThey do not see that they were celebrating the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread\, which was a week-long feast and started in the evening of the Sabbath. It is called Supper since it was dinner/evening meal. There was no other food other than unleavened bread and grape juice. It was not leavened bread or wafer but simple unleavened bread. Yeast was strictly forbidden\, therefore the bread was unleavened\, and the grape juice unfermented. \nJesus washing their feet was not a sign of service but a realisation of the sacrifice which the Lord’s Table represents (Sacrifice of Guilt). The bread and wine are for the forgiveness of sins that we commit unknowingly (washing of feet)\, but to receive that\, we need to first deal with the sins we are aware of (wash our own hands). It is for this reason that Paul warns that we do not share the Table in an unworthy manner\, and by doing so\, we endanger the wrath of God\, for we mock the sacrifice. \nWhat they do not realise is that by celebrating the Last Supper today\, they are not disassociating it from the Feast of Unleavened Bread\, but also denying Jesus as the Pascal Lamb. Since a Pascal Lamb was observed for 5 days before it was sacrificed. So from the Sabbath evening (Saturday)\, 5 days means the Lamb was killed today evening (Thursday evening)\, which means today is the day He was crucified and died. It is Good Thursday and not Good Friday. Friday was a High Sabbath\, the day they celebrate their exile from Egypt. This also confirms He resurrected exactly on the 3rd day\, which is on Sunday. \nWhat I fail to understand is how they have been doing so for so many years\, and do not see these simple things when they study or read scriptures. They are fulfilling the prophecy that the daily sacrifice would be kept away for 1290 days (years). It was around the 8th century that the Catholic Church changed things\, and the wafer/communion was introduced. Since then\, the daily sacrifice has been discontinued. \nHad they not discontinued\, most of our Churches would not exist. Paul’s warning is not to be taken lightly. Personally\, once (many years back) I did celebrate the Lord’s Table as it is to be done\, and all the people who took part unworthily were immediately (within a few days) given unto the spirits they were harbouring (more than half of those who ate). Today\, I would fear to celebrate the Lord’s Table again without utter caution. \nLet us not celebrate the Devil’s Table instead of the Lord’s Table by lies/distorting of things. \n[Prayer Starter]\nLord\, You are Almighty God. Lord\, You are Truth\, and there is no darkness in You. Lord\, we pray that we do not try to show You failed and yet seek salvation in You. We pray You heal us of our foolishness and stubbornness. SUMMARY:Becoming a Transgressor
DESCRIPTION:Galatians 2:18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed\, I make myself a transgressor. \nPaul speaks of becoming a transgressor by doing the things he revolted against. If we tell people something is wrong and then do it ourselves\, we become transgressors. \nAs Believers\, we became ‘Protestants’ to Catholics by objecting to their vain traditions/beliefs that were contrary to the Word of God. But if we look at the festivals we celebrate\, we are blindly following what they did\, without discerning or checking with the Word of God. \nWhen it comes to festivals\, we Believers become Catholics and then go back when they are over to differentiating ourselves from them. We have become seasonal Catholics. \nTomorrow\, churches will celebrate the Last Supper\, not knowing what it was\, then on Friday\, they will celebrate the Lord’s crucifixion\, trying to accuse Him of failing His promise/fulfilment of Prophecy\, yet seeking salvation in His sacrifice. \nBeing a staunch Catholic before the Lord opened my eyes to the mischief of that temple of Satan. After coming out and going deeper in the Word\, I realised Believer Churches are still partially under Satan’s control\, which is the reason we do not truly see the glory of God\, and no one fears lifting their heads against the Church. \n[Prayer Starter]\nLord\, You are Almighty God. You\, Lord\, are True and Your Word is True. You fulfil what You have declared in Your Word\, and You never fail. Lord\, we pray we do not behave like fools trying to prove You failed and yet seek salvation in You. SUMMARY:Spirit maketh intercession with unutterable groanings
DESCRIPTION:Romans 8: 26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. \nI have heard questions like ‘if God is God and knows everything\, then does He require us to pray/ask Him\, He should be giving us without asking’. \nToday’s scripture is about prayer. When we read the translations of today’s scripture\, it causes a person to have a mystical picture; a person praying for something not aware of and saying something that cannot be said! \nIt is only when we go deeper into the Greek text and its root meanings that we get the real picture or understanding. \nExpanding Romans 8:26\nIn the same manner\, the [Holy] Spirit also helps strengthen [mood ‘indicative’\, thus not guaranteed – conditions apply] our weaknesses [spiritual rather than natural] for we do not know how we need to pray as we ought to\, but the [Holy] Spirit Himself on behalf of us leads us to the mark with sighs [cries] which cannot be expressed in words. \nIf we understand prayer\, the words that we utter are not for God but more for us\, but the communication that comes from our spirit\, our hearts\, is what God hears. We can fool people with loud prayer or using big words\, but they would be just noise to God. He hears that which comes from our hearts\, our spirit. \nToday’s scripture tells us that the Holy Spirit guides us in how to really pray and receive all that the Lord has already made available for us. It is sin and corruption that have taken away our provisions\, and it is faith [believing in the truth] that helps us receive them. Prayer without faith is just blabber. Faith cannot be expressed in words; what we pray in spirit matters\, everything else is either to help our spirit pray or prevent us from praying. \nOur prayers many a times are obstacles to our praying\, like when we rattle words given by someone else\, keep repeating without understanding\, giving thought to what we are saying\, when we pray for things against the Will of God/Word\, etc… \n[Prayer Starter]\nLord\, You are Almighty God. You\, Lord\, are Spirit and Your Kingdom is Spirit World. Lord\, You are not fooled by our words for You read our thoughts and see our feelings. SUMMARY:Working through the Body
DESCRIPTION:Colossians 1:7 – As ye also learned from Epaphras our dear fellowservant\, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ; \nWe learnt about Paul’s spiritual life and how he too had to struggle in his relationships and how he overcame it. How he too accepted the growth of his own disciple Timothy to whom he wrote his last letter (his first documented letter was to the Church of Galatia in AD 49 and last to Timothy in AD 67). \nIn today’s message the Lord is telling us about another aspect of Church administration through Paul\, to lean this from his relation with those who were still not spiritually fully grown like Timothy or Philemon did\, in this aspect it is Epaphras. \nEpaphras was a disciple of Paul and key founder of the Church of Colosse. He was the person who pursued against the erring teachings that existed in that Church and build them in the Christian faith. But all was not well for him here there were some who did not agree with the teachings of Epaphras. \nWe see through his letter Paul puts himself behind Epaphras supporting him and his teachings to the people of Colosse. Paul reconfirms to them on various main topics that are very important to Christian Church building. \n1) Knowing the incomparable Christ\n2) Our place in Christ\n3) Putting on the New Self\n4) Relationship in the family\n5) Relationship between fellow workers \nWe see Paul did not get too deep in the theological beliefs and doctrine of faith to the people of Colosse. \nFirstly we need to understand Epaphras was still a student for Paul and was growing thus was not as knowledgeable as Paul in his doctrines (understanding). But one thing Paul knew was the basic foundation which he built in Epaphras was strong\, so he trusted the Lord to work in Epaphras through that foundation. Thus he gave Epaphras a free hand in building the Church of Colosse\, but he did keep an eye on it by regular monitoring its growth and issues faced by it. \nIn the Churches today leaders look for puppets as disciples\, those who speak what they want and if that person speaks a word different\, they state that person has wrong doctrines and remove that person from the fold. Now that person mostly starts his own Church or ministry and continues to do the same as what was done to him and this is what has bought us to this state which we see in Churches today. \nI was speaking to a new convert in Christ who does get involved in evangelism. He told me all people create their own doctrines from scriptures and justify it\, he was so confused with them that this brethren does not bother to study and confirm them himself\, he goes with the main stream thinking\, what the well-known preachers preach. \nThis attitude may be good to those new in Christ but if one observes closely this attitude of follow mainstream thinking has also caused lots of doctrines which came from the Catholic Church to still exist in the Believer Churches with no one daring to question it or bring it down. It has also caused people to not have a firm foundation of faith for many of the understandings the Church holds are not Biblical but drawn from traditions. \nPaul did not push Epaphras aside and put himself ahead to the people of Colosse. He did not take up topics with them which he knew would cause confusion due to the difference in his level of understanding and that of Epaphras’s level of understanding. He backed Epaphras and gave him time to grow and help the people of Colosse grow. The same he did with Titus with regards to the Church of Crete where the situation was more serious. We see Paul did not give this same comfort level to all Churches; he did according to the seriousness of issues existing in the various Churches. We see spiritually weakest Church was the Church of Corinth\, in the just growing was the Church of Crete and Colosse\, among the moderate growth was the Churches of Philippi and Rome\, then came the Church of Galatia and Church of Ephesus and among the stronger churches was the Church of Thessalonica and on the top was the Church of Berea. One can see this through the topics which Paul addressed in his letters to the various Churches. With the Church of Berea\, Paul was so comfortable that he did not have the need to write a letter for the people there for they were strongly rooted in the importance of scriptures and how to study scriptures. \nThe Lord causes the life of Paul and his writings to be part of the Bible so that we learn from this Servant of the Lord who did a good job in building the Church. He was instrument to start almost a 1000 Churches world wild\, directly or indirectly during his short ministry of about 30-40 years. He started when he about thirty years of age in Jerusalem and this journey was not very easy for him. Many a times he was persecuted and faced great pain for the work he did. The same Lord who caused earthquakes\, broke iron chains\, saved him through dangerous hurricane\, poisonous snake among other things allowed him to go through persecutions\, he understood through all this the Lord had done well in his life. When he slept he slept with pride not in the great work he did but pride in running the race successfully and passing the baton to the many he built in the Lord. \n[ Prayer Starter ]\nLord\, we thank You for our brethren Paul and what You did in him and through him. We thank You for his testimony that is part of the Holy Bible (Holy books) so that we can learn from his life. We pray Lord that the Church leaders learn from the life of Paul not according to traditions but according to the testimony documented in the Bible. That they do not go by the text but use wisdom and understand the spirit of the text… \nThis prayer we make in Jesus’ Name\, Amen. \n[ Reference ]\n2 Corinthians 11:22-30\n22 Are they Hebrews? so am I. SUMMARY:Did Jesus promote violence?
DESCRIPTION:Luke 22:36 – Then said he to them\, But now\, he that hath a purse\, let him take it\, and likewise his sack: and he that hath no sword\, let him sell his garment\, and buy one. \nThe first time I read this scripture it disturbed me as to what Jesus was trying to say? Why did He suggest His disciples to take up swords? \nAt times when Muslims debate between the character of Jesus and of Muhammad they try to justify Muhammad’s violent approach by stating this scripture\, stating that even Jesus told to take up swords. I have seen Christians counter this accusation by stating what Jesus did when Peter actually used the sword and cut the Roman soldier’s ear\, showing Jesus did not actually promote violence. But the question was yet on my mind as to why Jesus made this statement and what did He mean by it. \nYesterday we got the message of how even anointed Men of God who give their lives for God\, sacrifice everything for God\, yet land up making mistakes because at times the worldly understanding burrs their thinking. Today’s message takes yesterday’s message to the next step to open our minds to a better understanding. \nDay before yesterday a bro who was Muslim and came to know the Lord gave his testimony of how in his early days\, coming into the Lord he wanted to experience Luke 10:1-20. So he along with a colleague from his Bible College took one way tickets to a place with the only money they had in their pocket. On reaching there they had to sleep on the station and go hungry without food for a couple of days but soon things started to change and the Lord used them so mightily that they baptised about 140 people within the few days they were on this mission. He gave a beautiful revelation ‘Manna fell only in the desert not in the towns or cities the Israelite lived\, when we make our provision God does not provide but when we depend on Him\, He provides’. \nIn today’s message Jesus was at a situation wherein He had accepted the cup from the Father. This cup was not a cup of suffering\, for Jesus knew from childhood He had to suffer and what that suffering would be from His study of scriptures and by the Spirit of God ministering to Him. What made Him hesitate to take the cup when the time came was He knew when He drank of the cup (accepted it) it would separate Him from His Father in other words the Father would forsake Him for the sins of the world would be on Him. The suffering did not bother Him but being separated from the Father for even a little while was too much for Him. This fact shook me when I understood this\, Jesus cried bitterly when our sins separated Him from His Father but we do not shed a tear when our own sins separate us (take us far) from our Father\, we do not fear or blink an eyelid when we commit sin. We have taken the grace of the Lord too much for granted. \nJesus protected His disciples in the Father’s Name the Name the Father gave Him. This Name did not mean a Hebrew or Greek or Aramaic word or a tag or a title but meant who He was\, His identity\, his Nature. When Jesus had taken the cup He knew He would be separated from His disciples and during that time He was worried of them. He knew from the prophecies given before that they would desert Him and thus would be open to problems and dangers of this world. \nIf we read the words minutely Jesus talks to two areas one provision and other protection (purse and sword). These two areas are also the most important areas every Ministry thinks of in their work in the Lord. When we do not abide in the instructions of the Lord we land up struggling in these areas. It is no surprise we see great anointed Men of God\, blessed greatly with spiritual gifts from the Lord yet manipulate financial systems so as to provide for their selves and their Ministries\, they also keep private bodyguards or use police protection to protect them all because they use worldly understanding along with that of the Kingdom of God\, worldly wisdom along with spiritual wisdom. They quote the wisdom Solomon but fail to see that wisdom did not keep Solomon from worshiping worldly goddesses. \nIn today’s message the Lord is opening our eyes to the fact He provided Manna to millions of people for 40 years in the desert and never let them go hungry. Jesus had money in the money bag the two times when the thousands surrounded Him and were hungry. He would have used that money and provided at least a bite to each but He dared to trust His Father totally and landed giving each person there his or her stomach full. \nGod is tell us dare to abide in His ways according to His Kingdom not according to worldly systems or worldly ways and doing this see His glory – His provision and His protection else like today’s message organize our own finance and protection using our worldly wisdom. \n[ Prayer Starter ]\nLord\, we pray that your servants\, your labourers who work in your Vineyard remove the yeast of the world from their thinking and their ways and dare to walk totally according to your Kingdom and thus see your glory… \nThis prayer we make in Jesus’ Name\, Amen. \n[ Reference ]\nLuke 10:1-20 \nJohn 17:12 [ASV] – While I was with them\, I kept them in thy name which thou hast given me: and I guarded them\, and not one of them perished\, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

SUMMARY:O Man of God why do your own thing
DESCRIPTION:Jonah 1:3 – But Jonah arose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD\, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid its fare\, and went down into it\, to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. \nI got this message a few days back but God knew I would not be writing unto today for just yesterday I understood the purpose of this message. Yesterday I was with great Men of God but sadly they were like Jonah in today’s message. \nJonah was a great Man of God who had a heart for God\, a man who feared God\, loved God and would do anything for Him. But his one great problem Jonah had was that he tried to correct God on how to run the Kingdom of God and this led to one of the greatest testimonies in the Bible which is today known even by small children. God knew this man inside out\, so let Jonah do what he wanted in the start so that He (God) would be glorified more by doing what God desired through Jonah. \nJonah was given a mission to give the message of repentance to the people of Nineveh. Jonah knew in his heart if God sent him for the mission it would be accomplished and the people of Nineveh would be saved from the wrath of God. Jonah hated the people of Nineveh for the great evil they did and wanted them to be punished for the evil they did. When God told him to go to Nineveh and set a period for their repentance Jonah tried to go the other direction calculating his journey so that it became impossible to reach Nineveh within God set period and thus the people of Nineveh would not repent and thus get punished for their evil. Jonah did all this planning according to the limitation of his human mind according to his worldly thinking\, he did not realized God is a God of the impossible and in His Kingdom there is no limitation. \nJonah calculations were based according to manmade transportation; he did not imagine God would put him in one of the fastest submarine made by Him (a whale) and would take him back to Nineveh in time to save the people of Nineveh. \nYesterday I was saddened to see great Men of God who fear God and see the glory of God every day of their lives\, yet limit their plans for the Kingdom of God according to worldly thinking and worldly system. \nIn the Bible we have books like Acts and letters of great Men of God like Paul\, John and Peter among others\, so that we learn from them. If we ignore them and do our own thing then are we not running away from the presence of God like Jonah did? The presence of God is the where the glory of God is and His glory is where His Word in abided by. \nThe world is filled with yeast and even the Church and its people are so filled with yeast. Look around things like worldly traditions still run the lives of almost all Christians\, Believers not spared. Till date the bread we break in Church has yeast in it like the teachings that are given in Churches. God is so true when He stated the daily sacrifice would be taken away by the little horn (Catholic Church / Vatican) for two thousand three hundred days (years). \nIt is time we open our eyes to the yeast we are filled with\, stop thinking and doing things according to this world but let us do things according to the Kingdom of God / His Word and see the power of God manifest within us. \n[ Prayer Starter ]\nLord\, we pray we do not go through the life and death situation that Jonah went through due to not obeying your instructions but going according to his thinking. Lord the Churches and Ministries today follow less your Word and more the understanding of the world\, it is this reason we go through the life and death situations we are facing. Lord we pray You heal our minds and our thinking. The conversion started in Acts 9 and Saul was called Paul in Acts 13\, people may think it happened in a short time but one historian puts that it took 8years between Acts 9 and Acts 13. Yes it took 8 years for Saul to become the Paul of the people. \nWhat may further surprise most is when they get into the meaning of the names. Saul means desire and Paul means little or small. \nNo one will keep a name Small to a person who is tall in height\, or Fat to a person who is slim. But Paul was no dwarf or really short like Zacchaeus that people needed to call him little\, if it was so then the Bible would have described him like it did to Zacchaeus and many others. So Saul may have been slightly short but that was not the main reason they called him little\, the main reason was great spiritual stature in this little body. The great speed at which Saul started spiritually grew that he left behind the very people who were instruments in building and nurturing him in his initial spiritual stages. Apostle like Peter consulted him for his great knowledge of scriptures. Paul was later counted among the 5 pillar apostles who looked after the total Church operations. \nIn the Spiritual world there is no permanent teacher or leader or guide other than the Lord (Holy Spirit). Even though Jesus was perfect and full of the Holy Spirit yet as man handed over His disciples unto the Holy Spirit. It was the Holy Spirit who opened their minds to the real understanding of what Jesus told them. \nBarnabas was instrument in building Paul in his initial spiritual days in the Lord\, later we see Paul grew more than Barnabas and at times was instrument in correcting Barnabas when he erred. \nThere are some principals in the Kingdom of God if one is not moving ahead one is back sliding\, for the Kingdom of God is always on the move. Also no man has permanent leadership; a teacher can become a student of his own student if the student grows spiritually more than his teacher. So no man should have pride in oneself in the Kingdom of God or should look at oneself as to what one has achieved but should always look forward to the goal which we need to reach and should help any and every one that is lacking behind us. \nThis kingdom of this world always desires to drag us back and bring us to nothing\, so our spiritual walk is like climbing up an escalator which is going down. Since we are in the opposite direction we need to climb up faster than the speed at which the escalator is going down. If we keep going at the same speed up and we are pulled down we are not going ahead but will be at the same spot\, but if we slow down we start to slowly backslide without knowing. Therefore Paul states our spiritual life is a race not a walk. If this world increases in speed (corruption and evil) then we too need to push ahead spiritually at greater force. \nLet us be like Paul the little man in whom the people saw a great man pushing ahead in his spiritual race. \n[ Prayer Starter ]\nLord\, we pray we grow faster than the rate at which the world pulls us down. SUMMARY:Witness\, be blessed and be remembered
DESCRIPTION:Zachariah 1:1 – In the eighth month\, in the second year of Darius\, came the word of the LORD to Zechariah\, the son of Berechiah\, the son of Iddo the prophet\, saying\, \nOne may think what has the title to do with today’s scripture. If one takes the meaning of the names mentioned then one will know what the Lord is trying tell us in today’s message. \nThe name Iddo means ‘His witness’\nThe name Berechiah means ‘Jehovah blesses’\nThe name Zechariah means ‘Jehovah remembers’ \nSome people may say ‘brother the order is not right Jehovah blesses must be last’. These are the worldly people; they are people who are so used to using people that they do the same with God\, they try to use Him. \nBeing blessed is something that is part and parcel of knowing God of being in relationship with Him\, but should not be the purpose. Jesus said seek Him (His Kingdom and righteousness) and all the things we need\, will be added unto us. Bible says those who are His\, their name He writes in the Book of Life. By being remembered by Him means we will have our name being written in the Book of Life. Jesus goes further to explain how\, He says who confesses Him before men him He would confess before the Father in Heaven. \nBlessings are something one automatically gets when one comes to know the Lord. Witness Him before people not in the intension of receiving blessing but in the intension that He too will remember us before the Throne of the Father in Heaven. \n[ Prayer Starter ]\nLord\, You are light and before You no darkness can exist. When your glory starts to manifest all darkness flees. Lord we pray we witness You before people and your glory increases. We know when your glory comes all our problems flee and so do the lacking in our lives and we become whole. SUMMARY:O foolish people slow of heart
DESCRIPTION:Luke 24:27 – And beginning at Moses and all the prophets\, he expounded to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. \nAfter the women saw the tomb of Jesus empty they ran back and told the disciples of Jesus about it. They immediately came running to confirm what the women saw. As the two people who were walking towards Galilee spoke this to Jesus\, Jesus got upset and told them ‘O foolish men and slow of heart’. Jesus said that not only to them but all for they did not believe everything God said. \nOne may not find these insults very harsh in the English language but when we get into the Greek meanings we will understand how upset Jesus was. \nThe Greek word ‘anoetos’ translated as fool / foolish is the negative of the word Alpha which is used for God. This word does not really mean just an unintelligent person but means a person who ungodly or unlike God. \nThe Greek word ‘bradus’ translated as slow towards a heart / inner-man talks of the inner-being being inactive. It does not only specify a person that does not think. We need to understand our inner man is made of 5 parts. When we say mind we actually refer to two parts\, one is our memory and the other is our thinking or the working table of our mind. The other 3 parts include our will\, our senses which connect to our physical body and our conscience / discernment which connects to our spirit. So when Jesus said slow of heart He referred to all these parts not working or not been used properly. That means other than we not thinking\, it means we do not remember all scriptures but pick and choose what pleases us. We do not put God and His Kingdom as the top agenda or seated on the throne of our hearts and keep some worldly desires over God. We do not use our senses well\, like we see what we want to see and do not register what we do not want to see. We hear what we want to hear and show a deaf ear to the things we do not want to hear etc… It also means we do not discern things in our spirit. \nIt is very sad even after 2000years yet our Church lacks proper understanding of scriptures. It is not that God is not revealing the truth to people about His Kingdom. He does reveal the truth about His Kingdom to some who truly love His Word / Instructions\, but the world does not want to hear them. They push them aside and like to hear things that bridge this world to the Kingdom of God\, since they want to enjoy this world at the same time want eternal life. They do not like to hear things that tell them to reject the things of this world – the understandings of this world\, the pleasures of the world and relationships of this world. They want to have 2 masters – the Lord and the pleasures of this world (money is a means of buying the pleasures of this world). \nToday again the Lord is telling us Old Testament and New Testament does not mean the Old Word and the New Word. It does not mean everything or anything the Prophets wrote before Jesus is invalid. It just means before the invitation to Heaven via receiving of the Holy Spirit was only for a few and those who accepted and abided in the Holy Spirit saw the glory of God but after Jesus came the invitation went to all mankind and whosoever accepted could now see the glory of God by their faith in Jesus Christ\, their receiving of the Holy Spirit and their abiding in His Instructions. \nLet us not be ungodly people but be people who project their Father in Heaven (that nature which was manifested in the natural in Jesus Christ). Let us not be slow in heart but let us meditate on His Word day and night keeping Him and His Kingdom about all things and at the same time use our senses effectively\, blocking not good things that tell us about Him\, His Kingdom and of being led by His Spirit but blocking things that make us worldly\, carnal people filled with pleasures of the flesh. Let us exercise our discernment more and more according to the leading of the Spirit. \n[ Prayer Starter ]\nLord\, we ask for your forgiveness for the times we have been a foolish people who are slow of heart. We ask You Lord Jesus to heal our inner-man and make us more and more like You for as man You showed us the physical manifested nature of our Father. SUMMARY:Kingdom of God
DESCRIPTION:Luke 17:20\,21 – And when he was asked by the Pharisees\, when the kingdom of God should come\, he answered them and said\, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say\, Lo here! or\, lo there! for\, behold\, the kingdom of God is within you. \nChristianity came from the Jews; the Jews had the scriptures with them yet they were unable to know the Messiah they were waiting for since ages had already come in their midst. All the Jews knew they were waiting for 2 very important persons to come\, 1st who would be a greater Prophet than Moses who would spiritually free them and the 2nd person who was a king greater than David born from the generations of David. This king they expected to free them from bondages and bring back the Jewish kingdom. They did not imagine that both these identities would be within 1 person a Prophet King. There was one time when they did think Jesus was that Prophet King that was when Jesus came into Jerusalem after brining back Lazarus back to life. \nJesus had bought many dead back to life and among them many were bought back to life after a period passed since their died\, but what about Lazarus caused people to flock behind Jesus that they came with palms to greet Him and they put their coats on the road He passed\, the highest honour given to any being. This I understood as I was helping my daughter with her school project. \nLazarus after his death was mummified according to Egyptian customs which many of the Jews followed as tradition since they dwelled in Egypt. They did that also with the other regimes; they fussed the customs of people of those places where they dwelled into Judaism. When one studies Egyptians mummification process\, one realizes how great a miracle Jesus did thus understand why the Jews were so shocked that they flocked to greet Him with palms. \nIn Egyptian mummification process they first drain the blood from the body and let the little blood that remains within to dry\, this takes about 2 to 3 days. Then they remove all the internal organs out leaving for the heart because it is the organs that decay first. These include the eyes\, intestines\, liver\, kidney and all other internal organs. They would not only remove all the internal organs but also remove the brain however they would keep the heart since they assumed the person would need it in its life after death. \nWhen Jesus bought Lazarus to life He had literally regenerated all his internal organs. It was this miracle that shocked the people and caused the hardened Jews to accept Him as that Messianic Prophet. \nWe need to also note at that time Jesus had healed Bartimaeus a bling Roman who was a Roman rebel and was made blind by the Roman regime had got Jesus into the wanted list therefore there was a warrant issued for Him. But when Jesus entered Jerusalem He came seated on the colt of the ass while the mother ass was walking besides it. This odd scene made them to remember the prophecy of Zachariah that the King would come riding in a ass and its colt\, this cause them to shout ‘Hosanna’ which means ‘be prosperous’\, they had acknowledged Him as Messiah – Prophet and King. This angered the Pharisees further and it also gave them another point to kill Him because the people acknowledge Jesus as their future king\, this is why the Pharisees took advantage and put their plan to kill Jesus also into action immediately. \nThe Jewish people saw and believed and acknowledged but their acknowledgement was temporary. In today’s message Jesus says the Kingdom of God comes not with visual signs but says it is within us. People confuse Kingdom of God with the coming of the Lord (the Son) in His glory. Kingdom of God is where His rule abides\, that means when we abide in the Lord that is abide in His Word this causes Him to be seated on the Throne of our hearts (our will) thus His Kingdom reigns in us. \nIn today’s message the Lord is telling us not to be like the worldly people\, like the Jews who waited for signs to know the coming of the Kingdom of God. They will be waiting and waiting and will be victims of the judgment of God before they see the Kingdom of God. Let us bring the Kingdom of God within us so that we do not fall victim to the judgment of God. \n[ Prayer Starter ]\nLord\, You are God and are capable of doing mighty wonders but You refrain because You desire a willing\, contrite heart that is circumcised. You want us to willingly welcome You into our hearts (inner-man) and seat You on its throne making your Will our will. SUMMARY:The main reason Christ died for us
DESCRIPTION:John 16: 7 – Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away\, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I depart\, I will send him to you. \nThere are basic understandings which are not explained or understood by Christian and this is the prime reason that we do not see the power of God work among His people. Christians may have heard it or may know it but they fail in putting it in the right priority. \nWhenever I ask Christians why did Jesus become our sacrifice and die for us\, the instant answer is ‘to wash away our sins’. They do not understand even after all my sins are washed away the day I am baptized in Jesus Christ\, the day I repent and make Him my Lord and Master and accept His sacrifice for the payment for my sins\, yet after that I do continue to sin. All my sins may be washed but the nature to sin still remains in me. Paul says the sacrifice cannot be abuse again and again so then do I remain again in sin. That is why Jesus Christ said just baptism in Him alone is not sufficient we need to be baptized in the Holy Spirit also. A person can enter Heaven only if the person is baptized in Him and in His Spirit (water and Spirit). \nPaul through his letters emphasized about how sin corrupted us and our sins are the output of this corruption that is within us. To overcome this corruption we need to be born again that means put the sin nature of Adam within us to death and bring in the nature of Christ in us. This process is what makes us Sons of God and this process is worked in us only by the Holy Spirit. \nJesus Christ was born of a virgin therefore did not have the sin nature of a human father in Him but He was born 100 percent man so He was exposed to every temptation of the flesh as any other man would be. The Bible says as a child He grew in the Holy Spirit and it was the Holy Spirit who kept Him from sin. The work on the Holy Spirit in Him when He was alive made it possible for Him to resurrect after His death. Had He even sinned one sin then He would have not been able to resurrect. He went to hell because He was forsaken by the Father since He took our sins on Him but He could not be kept in the prison hell because there was no sin in Him. The resurrection power was the power of the Holy Spirit and this power was not demonstrated in hell after He died but on earth when He was alive. \nThe Lord says not by my power and not by my strength but by my Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the most important being in our salvation. Without the Holy Spirit it is impossible for man to be saved and enter Heaven. Man will be saved from hell by his belief in Jesus Christ but he will not get to Heaven unless he lets the Holy Spirit work in him. It is the Holy Spirit who helps us kill the sin nature with in us and helps us to put on the nature of Christ. \nJesus by His sacrifice performed all the sacrifices required for us for washing away our sins and breaking the curses set by God on us\, but the most important thing that His sacrifice did was made available to us His Spirit. The Holy Spirit not only guides us through our walk in Christ but also reveals the truth of the Kingdom of God (through the Word of God) to us and like Jesus said only when we become His disciple and come to know the truth\, the truth will set us free. \nIn the Garden of Eden after man ate of the fruit of Good and Bad and came to know evil\, man lost the knowledge of the truth and that is why the righteousness of God left him and he felt naked. God knowing it is not possible for man to gain back righteousness\, therefore worked for man to know the truth and via knowledge of the truth be covered in the righteousness of His Son Lord Jesus Christ and return back to Him. \nLet us not be lost half way in our journey to Heaven. Jesus Chris is the Way and it is His Spirit that leads us on this Way. It is His Spirit who brings us to the knowledge of the truth so that we can have (eternal) life. \n[ Prayer Starter ]\nLord You paid the price for our sins so that we make be forgiven and we may receive the promise of the Holy Spirit. That by the working of the Holy Spirit we may become again Sons of God and thus enter Heaven our eternal home. Holy Spirit\, take over the reins of our hearts and our minds. SUMMARY:Praise Him for His mighty deeds
DESCRIPTION:Psalms 150:2 – Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. \nWhen we are asked to praise God we think about all that the Lord has done and we praise Him for that. \nIf we read the last closing words of John in his autobiography of the Lord Jesus Christ (Gospel of John) we see he calls himself a witness to the great things Jesus did and says if all the things He did were to be written than all the books existing at that time would not be able to hold them. He was not exaggerating what he wrote. \nThe world has changed a lot today. Today we do not make paper with hand but have machines that manufacture them. More than all the paper that existed in the world then during the time of John would now be found today in a small town. Today we are witnesses of the Lord Jesus Christ and if we really know the Lord than even today we can say the same words ‘if all that the Lord Jesus Christ has done\, if they were to be written on paper\, all the paper existing today in this world will not be able to hold what the Lord has done’. \nOur Lord is not dead\, even though He has ascended to Heaven yet He has given us His Spirit and His Spirit works amongst us and does mighty works. Many of us can write volumes of all that the Lord has done in our lives and now imagine if all write them down! \nLet us praise our awesome Lord – Who was\, Who is and Who is to come. \n[ Prayer Starter ]\nLord\, You are an awesome God. You are omnipotent and omnipresent. There is no time or place You do not exist. No doubt we do not allow You to work in our lives many a times\, but You Lord are always at hand waiting when to intervene and change things for us. Lord we praise You for even though we have many times restricted You with our faithlessness yet You have done so many mighty works in our live. We pray we grow strong in faith so that by faith we open the doors for You to do even more mighty things in our lives… \nThis prayer we make in Jesus’ Name\, Amen. \n[ Reference ]\nJohn 21:24-25\n24 This is the disciple who testifieth of these things\, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.\n25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did\, which\, if they should be written every one\, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. DESCRIPTION:2 Chronicles 12:9\, 10 – So Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem\, and took away the treasures of the house of the LORD\, and the treasures of the king’s house; he took all: he carried away also the shields of gold which Solomon had made. Instead of which king Rehoboam made shields of brass\, and committed them to the hands of the captains of the guard\, that kept the entrance of the king’s house. \nI just attended a marriage of an anointed worship leader and the ceremony took rather a long time. Later I came to know the Pastors were murmuring that it pasted the 6:00pm deadline. It was not a Church deadline but deadline according to local belief that all vows should be done before the sun goes down and they wanted to keep the law of the land. The Pastor who was telling me this was upset with their behaviour and he was stating ‘we are not under law but under grace’. I also came to know they had caused the couple to do some Hindu ceremonies performed before marriage in the name of tradition. \nSurely anyone with little discernment will feel sad at the first lot who believe in keeping pagan beliefs and follow pagan ceremonies of the land as Christians. But a person well rooted in scriptural understand will also feel pity for the second lot who do not know what law Paul spoke about when he stated we are not under the law but under grace. If they read the very next lines Paul talks about\, we being set free from the law of sin and have become servants of righteousness. Do people know the meaning of righteousness? Can anyone be righteous without Law? \nRighteousness means one who keeps the Will of God and the Will of God is the Commandment of God and the Commandment of God is the Law of God\, so righteousness is when we abide by the Law of God. Can we be lawless people and be under grace? Grace comes by faith and faith means believing in the truth. This believing does not mean just verbal believe but also in our doings. James says if I state I believe but do not put what I state into action then I am a hypocrite and liar when I state I have faith. \nIn today’s message during the time of King Rehoboam the Egyptian king raided Israel and took away the treasure of the Lord’s house (temple). If we read about the things that were in the treasure in the Bible\, there were many things but you will notice here the Lord brings our attention especially to the shields made of gold. \nIf we read in Ephesians\, Paul talks of we being armed with a shield of faith. He also specifies this equipment being a very important part of our spiritual armament. He goes on to specify it protects us from the fiery darts (missiles) of the enemy (wicked). \nThe Hebrew word ‘zahab’ translated as gold comes from the root word which means shimmering\, gold symbolizes spiritual riches. The Hebrew word ‘nechosheth’ translated as brass means dubious. The Hebrew words Mitsrayim translated as Egypt comes from the meaning double strait\, it symbolizes those who live a double life\, a worldly life while knowing God. \nToday’s message is telling us because we have been living a life that is worldly\, lost in worldly pleasures we have been robbed of our spiritual gold and we have replaced them with brass. We have replaced the truth with worldly things. \nOnce one comes more to the knowledge of the Truth\, one would be surprise at what the Bible states as Christianity and what Christians follow as Christianity\, how opposite they are. We are so filled with worldly understanding that looks like gold but is just dubious brass. \nIt is time we stop doing our own things in the name of the Lord and start doing things which the Lord has commanded of us if we need to protect ourselves from the fiery missiles of the enemy. \n[ Prayer Starter ]\nLord\, You gave your Word to us so that we be saved and receive life that is eternal and abundant. The enemy desires we do not receive this abundant\, eternal life thus causes us to go against your Word. He fills us with corruption in the name of worldly knowledge and traditions. Lord\, help us to grow in discernment and know right from wrong so that we keep your Word in truth… \nThis prayer we make in Jesus’ Name\, Amen. \n[ Reference ]\nRomans 6:14-18\n14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law\, but under grace.\n15 What then? shall we sin\, because we are not under the law\, but under grace? SUMMARY:Christians are called to die
DESCRIPTION:Romans 8:36 – As it is written\, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. \nWhen Paul wrote this verse he was referring to Psalms 44:22. People think this verse speaks of our physically dying as martyrs for God’s people. \nThere was a brother on whom someone prophesized that he would die as a martyr for Christ and this brother took it very seriously\, this affected the way he looked at life and his mission in the Lord. When I prayed to the Lord on this I did not get any such message so I explained things to him and caused him to change his mind set. Today many years have passed and this brother still works with purpose not of death but of life. \nA soldier fights for his country so that the people of his country have good life. He knows death is a great reality for the kind of work he has taken. But he does not become a crazy man and just go and die in the battle\, he knows he being alive as long as he can is necessary so that the battle is won. His mission is not to die but to have victory. Similarly a cricketer playing test cricket knows he will get out so does not close his eyes and just swing his bat around to try to make runs quickly. He knows this is a long match so he has to remain at the wicket as long as he can so that he scores and his teams scores. He will also not remain at the wicket just defending the ball not making runs\, that will make his team lose\, but he will take risk shorts in between\, that too calculated risk shoots not blind risk shoots. If we study Jesus’ 3 years ministry (that is recorded)\, He played it like a test match and not like a 20-20 tournament. \nIf we read the today’s verse it says ‘for thy sake we are killed all day long’. If a person dies he does not take the whole day to die. Physical death is instant\, so this verse is not talking of physical death. When I check both the scriptures in their original text (Psalms 44:22 – Hebrew and Romans 8:36 – Greek) both of them are very clear in what they say\, but the English translation projects a different message. The word used for sheep in both is ‘sheep of slaughter’ not ‘sheep for the slaughter’. You may ask\, what’s the difference between them? They both die. No doubt they both die\, the ‘sheep for slaughter’ is a sheep killed for the consumption of man but the ‘sheep of slaughter’ speaks of the sacrificial sheep\, killed for God. We are ‘sheep of slaughter’ not ‘sheep for slaughter’. We die for God’s Kingdom while serving his people and not die for the people while doing ‘God’s work’. We are not called to die for a religion or while doing religious works. \nEveryone’s coming into this world and leaving it is in the Hand of the Lord\, the only difference about people of God is their life on earth is a fulfilment and their journey a pleasure for God. \nA living soldier is of greater value than a dead soldier to the army\, but a scared living soldier is a great liability to the army. \nLet us be soldiers that have no fear of death but let us know we have a mission for which we live and we have to complete it before we sleep. If we are in the Lord and walk by His Spirit then we will successfully complete our mission and do our part of the race so as to win our high crown in Heaven. \nWe are called to die not to our enemy but to ourselves; to die to our flesh\, our carnal nature\, surrendering to God and His purpose of saving His people. Unless we do not carry the Ark of Covenant (CROSS) we will not have victory and to carry it we need to be a Levite\, separated from this world and things of this world\, depending only on God for all our needs. \n[ Prayer Starter ]\nLord\, a shepherd put his life at risk against wild animals but he knows his purpose is to protect and lead his sheep. When David faced wild like the bear and the lion animals as a shepherd\, You Lord gave him all the courage and strength to devour them. You protected him from them. We know Lord when we are in You\, You do not let us be victims of our enemies until we have finished our purpose here on earth. Again he measured a thousand\, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins.\n5 Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters had risen\, waters to swim in\, a river that could not be passed over. \nThis message is spiritually very deep and strong food if one understands it depth they will understand the purpose of God’s creation. \nFrist the word waters in the Old Testament has other meanings like waste water of washing of feet and even piss (urine). But in the New Testament the word comes from its origin which is either rain or river. Waters in principle symbolized understanding\, stagnant water symbolizes sin\, fresh following water like spring\, fountain or river symbolizes understanding that gives life\, little rain symbolizes mercy (former rain)\, sufficient rain symbolizes grace (later rain) but very heavy rain that kills symbolizes God’s wrath (like Noah’ floods). \nIn the Old Testament even though people had close encounter with the Lord in the natural\, yet they were far from the understanding of the Kingdom of God. Even a person like Solomon who was blessing in great wisdom was also far from the true understanding of the Kingdom of God (understanding of the truth came through Jesus Christ – Spirit of Truth which He gave us). Having knowledge\, having wisdom and having understanding are not the same thing but are different even though they are closely related to each other. \nThe Hebrew word ‘ephec’ translated as ankle actually means ‘nothing’. The word ‘mothen’ translated as loin means slender (that why translated sometimes as hip for woman and loin for man). The words ‘ets’ translated as trees also means wood and comes from the root word which means shut\, so more refers to a fence. The word ‘berek’ translated as knee come from the word ‘barak’ which means blessing or curse. The Hebrew word translated as sea also means west and west or right symbolizes righteousness and east or left side symbolizes away from righteousness. That is why earth and hell are to the east of Heaven (Eden) that is why God put a flaming sword and Cherubs to the east to prevent man and fallen angle from entering it. \nIn today message the waters speaks of evil and the stages of evil. In the start there was no evil\, then evil came into existence and became a curse\, over a long time evil grew and grew but yet was slender but near the end evil grows to a stage it becomes impossible for man to survive in this evil. Even though this evil grows God has set a limit to it flourishing. The Lord is telling us then a stage come where He cause evil to move towards righteousness and when it comes in contact with righteousness evil ceases to exist. Later we see the waters change and cause life to blossom. \nThe Lord is telling us to look around and we will see evil flourishing. He telling us not to be disheartened He is God and has set a limit to it. He tells us if we need to do away with evil we need to get people to follow His righteousness (abide by His Word) and the moment righteousness comes into the picture\, evil will cease to exist. \n[ Prayer Starter ]\nLord\, when people see evil flourish they get disheartened\, but You Lord have always said do not fear. Lord we know You are Almighty God and everything is under your control. You have set limits to this evil and You will not allow it to consume your people for each and everyone’s name You have already written in Book of Life. SUMMARY:Who is giving the Word?
DESCRIPTION:Amos 8:12 – And they shall wander from sea to sea\, and from the north even to the east\, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD\, and shall not find it. \nIn the times of Jeremiah the Israelites did their own things in the name of the Lord and when the Lord warned them through Jeremiah\, they did not want to hear him. They told him not to speak strong things but speak smooth things which do not cause them to change their way of life\, their belief. \nIn today’s date we see the people are still behaving like the way Israelites did during the time of Jeremiah. Christians today are doing their own things and they are doing them with so much devotion that even God is amazed; amazed not at their devotion but at what they are doing and believing in. He starts to wonder where and when did He give this understanding to His people. This is not with just ordinary preachers but even famous preachers like the kind which come on TV; they too are teaching things which are contrary to the Word of God. They do not go perpendicular to the Word\, but instead of going with the Word their teaching slowly starts to bend away such that it is very hard for ordinary person to notice\, it is only after a long time does some realize they were taken for a ride. People are encapsulated by these preachers by seeing their gifting. \nWhen someone gives them the real Word they find it hard to accept and thus shun away that person. Many a times over a period of time that person also gets frustrated\, starts to compromise and lands up also preaching the worldly teachings. \nThe people cry to the Lord about problems and persecution\, at the same time they do not want to hear the Lord or His solution to their problems via His Word. They just want God to do their thing\, their way. \nWe see a new lot of young Believers that have been arising in this world. Youth with a hunger and thirst for the Kingdom of God but sadly they do not get people who teach them the Word of God. They land up with preachers and teachers who are teaching them worldly things in the name of the Lord. The Lord is telling us He feels for this spiritually young generation and has concern for them. \n[ Prayer Starter ]\nLord\, we pray for teachers of the Word that teach according to your heart. We pray a great fire in their bones such that this fire is not extinguished by the pressure of this world. SUMMARY:Is Satan a snake?
DESCRIPTION:Nehemiah 12:9 – Also Bakbukiah and Unni\, their brethren\, stood opposite them in the watches. \nIn today’s message we read about 2 Levites Bakbukiah and Unni along with their brethren who were part of the service of the temple in Jerusalem. One may think what is there about these 2 people that the Lord is telling us that may affect our lives today. \nIt may surprise you when you come to know the meaning of their name. Bakbukiah means ‘curse of Jehovah’ and ‘Unni’ means afflicted. Imagine the cursed and afflicted of Jehovah serving Him! \nWhenever Satan is projected\, people show him as a snake. In the movie Son of God when Jesus is being tempted in the desert the director showed Satan transforming into a snake. We also have some Christian Churches especially in the USA who hold services playing with snakes\, projecting that they have power over Satan. \nThere are many scriptures where Satan is symbolized as a snake\, but then not all of them actually refer to a snake. Like in Genesis when Adam and Eve were in Eden it is written Satan came as a snake. The Hebrew word ‘nachash’ used here comes from the word that means ‘enchanted’. In the Bible there are many other Hebrew words translated as serpent\, like ‘tanniym’ which means monster like the mythical dragon or a prehistoric animal. Also the word ‘saraph’ which means fiery serpent (creature) is at times translated as serpent (this word is also used for the Cherubs who are called the Morning Stars). \nNote in the wilderness when the wrath of the Lord was on the people\, serpents came and bit them\, such that many died. We see at that time when people pleaded the Lord\, He asked them to make a ‘saraph’ (fiery creature) and set on a pole so that any person bit by a serpent (nachash) will not die but live. What did Moses do? Moses makes a snake (nachash) out of brass and sets it on a pole. We see the Lord does not correct him and when people bitten by a serpent looked up on the brass serpent set on the pole they lived as the Lord said. So indirectly the Lord approved what Moses did. As we know this brass serpent represents Jesus on the cross\, to whom we look up to and are saved. So we see not only Satan even Christ (on the cross) is symbolized as a serpent in the Bible. \nSerpents are not evil creatures\, when God made them along with all other creatures God as recorded in Genesis chp1\, God said they are good. So serpents are not bad but what they symbolize is bad. In Genesis we see some of the creatures were made after their kind and some after the Lord’s (His) kind. Their kind refers to the fallen angels (evil spirits) who separated themselves from God. That is why the Lord classified some animals as unclean not because there was something bad about the animal but bad about what they spiritually symbolized. We can eat the animal but not what they spiritually symbolize. \nAt times snake symbolizes deceit (that is why it moves in a zig zag direction. Snake also symbolizes cursed. When God cursed Satan in the Garden of Eden\, He said it is cursed above all the cattle (means mute beings / those not having authority) and above every being if the land – levels below the higher Heavens. He also said it will move on its belly (means its doings – means eat the fruit of its doings) and eat the dust (symbolizing death) the time of its living. \nOn the cross Jesus took our curse and our penalty of death on Himself and became cursed and afflicted by God. By His natural death He went to Hell for our sins were on Him but since He never sinned Himself and there was no sin in Him\, therefore He could not be kept in Hell and thus He resurrected (came up from Hell). By His resurrection now anyone who believes in Him by faith is raised through the gates of Hell therefore being free of the prison of Hell\, he or she does not go to Hell. \nIn today’s message the Lord is telling us not to look at things in the flesh but see them through our spiritual eyes. We are not called to hate snakes or any animal but discern them spiritually and hate the things of darkness\, battle them and overcome them with the Light of Truth. \n[ Prayer Starter ]\nLord\, your people need more and more of your Spirit. They need to learn to discern things spiritually. DESCRIPTION:Habakkuk 1:6 – For\, lo\, I raise up the Chaldeans\, that bitter and hasty nation\, which shall march through the breadth of the land\, to possess the dwelling places that are not theirs. \nWhen I got this message as usual I thought it would be a spiritual message but then I felt in my spirit it is to do with our current political situation. \nWe know there exist a very volatile political situation right now in east Europe with regards to Ukraine. Russia is been accused of trying to take over the country and the western countries are trying to prevent it. \nI fell in today’s message the Lord is telling us that Russia will indeed take over either part or the whole of this country. The main issue behind this whole thing is power games\, both the Russians and the western countries are trying to flex their international powers and thus have caused this country to pay a great price of loss of freedom. \nWe can see this message in a spiritual way. When we are not in the Lord\, then the Lord can cause worldly power to have dominance over us and over our freedom. We land up becoming victims\, bait and prey to their power games. \n[ Prayer Starter ]\nLord You warn of situations that will affect us and our livelihood like You did in the times of Jeremiah\, but like then and now people fail to give ear to your warnings. We pray Lord\, You do not further harden the hearts of your people like You did then. That the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be abundant on your people and they do not be victims of vanity… \nThis prayer we make in Jesus’ Name\, Amen.

DESCRIPTION:Hosea 1: 1 – The word of the LORD that came to Hosea\, the son of Beeri\, in the days of Uzziah\, Jotham\, Ahaz\, and Hezekiah\, kings of Judah\, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash\, king of Israel. \nI was meditating on this scripture which I received and my attention was directed to Hosea and his father Beeri. \nWe know Hosea for he was a great Man of God and because we know him we read the name of his father Beeri. If Hosea was not a famous Man of God no one would heard about Beeri. But then I thought if it was not for Beeri would there have been Hosea. Beeri was the father of Hosea; he was the cause of Hosea coming into this world and his existence. When I went into the meaning of their names I found something more interesting. Hosea means ‘salvation’ and Beeri means ‘well’. That is why my title for today’s message ‘salvation to well\, well to salvation’ – let me explain. \nWhen Jesus met the Samarian woman at the well He told her ‘who it is that saith to thee\, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him\, and he would have given thee living water’. Later He goes on to say ‘the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life’. When we read John 7:38 Jesus quotes Isaiah where in the Lord says whom the Lord guides He will make fat their bones (which means feed / strengthen their character)\, they will be watered garden (well satisfied in all their needs) and springs of water (they will flow with true understanding). If we read John 7:39 Jesus related this spring of water to His Spirit. We also need to note in John 7:14 Jesus says ‘the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life’\, meaning this living water spring will lead them unto everlasting life. \nWhen we believe in Jesus we receive the promise of the Holy Spirit. When we surrender to His Spirit we receive the token of the Spirit of Truth. It is the Spirit of Truth who builds in us a passion for His Word and opens our mind to the understanding of the Word and the Kingdom of God. As we grow in the Spirit of God we grow in understanding of the Kingdom of God and come to know more and more of the Truth. As we come to know more of the Truth we overcome our evil nature and thus mature in spirit and from children of God become Sons of God and thus get to go to Heaven. \nThe word salvation means to be saved. People mistakenly assume all words stated as salvation means eternal life. \nWe need to understand we can have eternal life only if we go to Heaven and have access to the Tree of Life which is in Heaven. It is this Tree that gives us a refill of life every time our spirit needs it. When we believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and that He has paid the wages of our sin we are saved from going to Hell\, this does not mean we go to Heaven to receive eternal life. It means we are now eligible for eternal life and on the journey to Heaven\, not that we have reached there\, that is why Jesus says He is the Way. \nWhen we believe in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ we get to receive His Spirit and it is His Spirit who takes us through our journey to eternal life – that is to Heaven\, the Throne of God. Paul writes to the believing Church of Corinth ‘Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators\, nor idolaters\, nor adulterers\, nor effeminate\, nor abusers of themselves with mankind Nor thieves\, nor covetous\, nor drunkards\, nor revilers\, nor extortioners\, shall inherit the kingdom of God and such were some of you: but ye are washed\, but ye are sanctified\, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus\, and by the Spirit of our God’. Jesus is the way and His Spirit leads us along the way to eternal life. \nPaul acknowledges eternal life is by the Name of Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of God and not just by believing in Jesus\, that is why Jesus says by the baptism of both only can one enter the Kingdom of God not just one. It is by the working of both we overcome the evil nature to sin\, our faith in Jesus Christ and the working of the Spirit of Truth in us. \nMany Christians are fooled to believe that by just believing in Jesus Christ they will go to Heaven\, they do not realize that they need to be circumcised in the heart by the Holy Spirit who brings them to know Jesus Christ and understand what Jesus preached. They are like people to get a free bus ticket to their eternal homes but land up standing at the bus stop because they do not catch the bus. \nToday’s message talks of Hosea and his father Beeri\, of salvation and of the well of understanding. Salvation that brings us to the well and the well that brings us to salvation. \n[ Prayer Starter ]\nLord we pray all those who believe in You do not be deceived that they will go to Heaven. Lord we pray they realize they need to be baptized also in the Holy Spirit and be led by the Holy Spirit to become Sons of God and thus enter Heaven. We pray Lord that many may have springs of Living Water flowing from their bellies\, they may be wells that do not go dry… \nThis prayer we make in Jesus’ Name\, Amen. \n[ Reference ]\nJohn 4:7-14\n7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her\, Give me to drink.\n8 (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)\n9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him\, How is it that thou\, being a Jew\, askest drink of me\, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.\n10 Jesus answered and said unto her\, If thou knewest the gift of God\, and who it is that saith to thee\, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him\, and he would have given thee living water.\n11 The woman saith unto him\, Sir\, thou hast nothing to draw with\, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?\n12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob\, which gave us the well\, and drank thereof himself\, and his children\, and his cattle?\n13 Jesus answered and said unto her\, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:\n14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. \nJohn 7:37-39\n37 In the last day\, that great day of the feast\, Jesus stood and cried\, saying\, If any man thirst\, let him come unto me\, and drink.\n38 He that believeth on me\, as the scripture hath said\, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.\n39 (But this spake he of the Spirit\, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Spirit was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) \nProverbs 18:4 – The words of a man’s mouth are as deep waters\, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook. \nIsaiah 58:11 – And the LORD shall guide thee continually\, and satisfy thy soul in drought\, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden\, and like a spring of water\, whose waters fail not. \n1 Corinthians 6:9-11\n9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?
