SUMMARY:Condemn not the fallen
DESCRIPTION:Obadiah 1:13 Thou shouldest not have entered into the gate of my people in the day of their calamity; yea\, thou shouldest not have looked on their affliction in the day of their calamity\, nor have laid [hands] on their substance in the day of their calamity; \nIn all religions\, they believe in heaven and hell on earth\, even though they believe in a heaven/ swarg/ janat… They believe in rewards/punishment of good deeds/wrong deeds are settled here\, on earth\, while we are alive. \nChristianity\, on the other hand\, does not follow this doctrine. Hell was created for man to suffer his/her sins. So a person doing evil may not suffer on earth but will suffer all his/her doings in Hell. In Hell\, each sin is like a never-dying burning coal/flesh eating worm. This suffering they suffer till the end of their spirit life (which is thousands of years). People suffer on earth for a few reasons\, and the main amongst them is when they become an obstacle or danger to people of God (those chosen by the Lord). They also suffer when God wants to change/correct them. Today’s scripture and its preceding/following verses speak of the latter two reasons. \nLet us be careful when we mock or condemn anyone who is suffering\, especially when we do not know the actual reason. Let us moreover pray or uphold them in their weakness\, for if they are being corrected and are reestablished in Him\, then we will be rewarded. \n[Prayer Starter]\nLord\, You are Almighty God. You are our Father. You created us and also look over us. When we err\, You make efforts to correct us\, even if You need to amend the stubborn us\, via chastisement. Lord\, we pray we realise nothing just happens and that You are Living\, All seeing and All knowing God\, who loves us… \nWe make this prayer in Jesus’ Name\, Amen. \n[Reference Scriptures]\nObadiah 1:12-15\n12 But thou shouldest not have looked on the day of thy brother in the day that he became a stranger; neither shouldest thou have rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction; neither shouldest thou have spoken proudly in the day of distress.\n13 Thou shouldest not have entered into the gate of my people in the day of their calamity; yea\, thou shouldest not have looked on their affliction in the day of their calamity\, nor have laid [hands] on their substance in the day of their calamity;\n14 Neither shouldest thou have stood in the crossway\, to cut off those of his that did escape; neither shouldest thou have delivered up those of his that did remain in the day of distress.\n15 For the day of the LORD [is] near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done\, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head. \nAmos 1:6 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Gaza\, and for four\, I will not turn away [the punishment] thereof; because they carried away captive the whole captivity\, to deliver [them] up to Edom: \nAmos 1:9 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Tyrus\, and for four\, I will not turn away [the punishment] thereof; because they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom\, and remembered not the brotherly covenant:

SUMMARY:The Rod
DESCRIPTION:Micah 6:9 The LORD’s voice crieth unto the city\, and [the man of] wisdom shall see thy name: hear ye the rod\, and who hath appointed it. \nThe last 2 days I was out of town\, and just before leaving I went to see someone in a critical case. I had asked that person\, who was not a Christian\, some months back if he wanted me to pray over him. I had prayed over his wife\, who had been suffering for years\, and she had completely recovered (was fit and doing her daily chores) the very next day. He knew he had to believe in the one God and compromise on his gods\, which he was not ready for. It was just before visiting him in the hospital that I came to know he was down with cancer (4th stage). Before visiting him\, I prayed and asked the Lord\, and I received a message that his situation would have changed. Keeping hope\, I prayed over him in the hospital (he was not conscious) \nEven on my strip\, I was interceding for him and another person. But early yesterday morning\, I learned he had expired. I was very sad\, for there are very few cases where the Lord did not answer my prayers. It was only after I came back and met his family that I understood why the Lord did not answer (leaving for his wife\, who still had hope in me). Jesus Himself could not do many miracles in His hometown because of their unbelief. \nAt times we do not see the actual situation but are blinded by hope. What the Lord sees is beyond what we can\, and thus at times does not hold back what is due to come. The forces of nature are not affecting small places but are and will affect cities in large. These disasters will cause damage to every aspect of life. At times our cries unto Him can make some effect\, but there are also times that the Lord tells us to leave the city\, like He told Lot and his family. \n[Prayer Starter]\nLord\, You are Almighty God. You\, Lord\, are a Merciful God. Your mercy keeps us\, but when we reject You and Your ways continually\, You\, for the greater sake\, have to remove Your Hand from over us. Lord\, we pray we do not harden our hearts so much that we come to a state where even hope does not work… \nWe make this prayer in Jesus’ Name\, Amen. \n[Reference Scriptures]\nMicah 3:12 Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed [as] a field\, and Jerusalem shall become heaps\, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest. \nIsaiah 24:10-12\n10 The city of confusion is broken down: every house is shut up\, that no man may come in.\n11 [There is] a crying for wine in the streets; all joy is darkened\, the mirth of the land is gone.\n12 In the city is left desolation\, and the gate is smitten with destruction. \nIsaiah 32:13-14\n13 Upon the land of my people shall come up thorns [and] briers; yea\, upon all the houses of joy [in] the joyous city:\n14 Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall be for dens for ever\, a joy of wild asses\, a pasture of flocks; \n

SUMMARY:Clothing
DESCRIPTION:Luke 7:25 But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold\, they which are gorgeously apparelled\, and live delicately\, are in kings’ courts. \nToday’s clothing is all about fashion and design. Before the invention of trousers\, both men and women wore robes. The difference between men’s robes and women’s robes was the length. The men’s robe was shorter (just below the knee)\, while women’s robes were full length. At times men would make them shorter than required\, and even God rebuked them for it. \nPeople who were rich would be identified by the material and colour of their robes. Embroidered clothes were affordable only to the super-rich. \nThe first proper clothing was provided by the Lord after man sinned and became aware of his/her nakedness. The clothing was the skin of an animal\, and it was the making available of the clothing that brought up the concept of sacrifice. The animal was eaten and not just discarded. Man was vegetarian before the concept of sacrifice. \nWe wear clothing because we (including people around us) are sinners and thus cover our nakedness. When man totally overcomes sin\, then they will be able to transfigure into spirit beings (Angels)\, as Jesus manifested before His crucifixion. In our resurrection\, we too will become as Angels. \nAngels appear as wearing robes even though they are just light (non-material)\, but they are not like a human body covered; instead they robe is part of their body/ covering\, like we have skin. They are spirit beings and do not have organs that need covering as we do. When I had an encounter with one\, the hands\, legs/length of the robe and hair did not seem to have ends to them. \nWe need to understand the purpose of clothing. We may pursue comfort and beauty\, but not at the cost of losing the purpose. Let not our clothes propagate sin instead of covering it\, until we fully overcome sin and can transfigure as Jesus Christ demonstrated. \n[Prayer Starter]\nLord\, You are Almighty God. You are Creator\, for by You all things are created. You created everything in this natural world in an image of things of the spirit world. Then You created man in Your Image. It is by the design of how we are created that we can understand You and the purpose for which You created us. Lord\, we pray we respect what we are and know our limitations\, until we overcome them. We pray we respect our bodies and know how to present ourselves unto others\, knowing that we firstly represent You… \nWe make this prayer in Jesus’ Name\, Amen. \n[Reference Scriptures]\nExodus 20:26 Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar\, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon. \nGenesis 2:25 And they were both naked\, the man and his wife\, and were not ashamed. \nGenesis 3:7\, 9-11\, 21\n7 And the eyes of them both were opened\, and they knew that they [were] naked; and they sewed fig leaves together\, and made themselves aprons.\n9 And the LORD God called unto Adam\, and said unto him\, Where [art] thou?\n10 And he said\, I heard thy voice in the garden\, and I was afraid\, because I [was] naked; and I hid myself.\n11 And he said\, Who told thee that thou [wast] naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree\, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?\n21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins\, and clothed them. \n

SUMMARY:In the likeness of sinful flesh
DESCRIPTION:Romans 8:3 For what the law could not do\, in that it was weak through the flesh\, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh\, and for sin\, condemned sin in the flesh: \nIf we understand the whole battle against darkness (evil)\, we will realise God did not take the easy path. He would have destroyed those fallen by just a word\, but He did not; He even gave them time before they received their punishment. \nGod made a mere\, weak man to be the instrument that fights against this darkness. Knowing man is very weak and not able to fight this evil\, He Himself entered into the battle\, but not as God but as mere man in the flesh. \nGod is fighting evil through us at the lowest level so that evil will be finished once and for all. Let us understand our battle is just impossible without the intervention of Christ. Without Christ\, there is no way we can overcome sin; it is only with His help that we have hope to overcome. \n[Prayer Starter]\nLord\, You are Almighty God. You\, Lord\, are Omnipotent\, Omnipresent\, and Omniscient. Yet in Your Wisdom You did not immediately destroy evil when it sprouted; You set the stage for evil to be destroyed once and for all\, and for this battle You set a mere man to fight instead of the mighty Angels. Lord\, You are never wrong. We pray\, we believe in You and continue this battle relentlessly… \nWe make this prayer in Jesus’ Name\, Amen. \n[Reference Scriptures]\nIsaiah 41:14 Fear not\, thou worm Jacob\, [and] ye men of Israel; I will help thee\, saith the LORD\, and thy redeemer\, the Holy One of Israel. \nEphesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood\, but against principalities\, against powers\, against the rulers of the darkness of this world\, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]. \n1 Corinthians 9:25-27\n25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they [do it] to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.\n26 I therefore so run\, not as uncertainly; so fight I\, not as one that beateth the air:\n27 But I keep under my body\, and bring [it] into subjection: lest that by any means\, when I have preached to others\, I myself should be a castaway. \n1 Corinthians 15:50 Now this I say\, brethren\, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. \nColossians 2:15 [And] having spoiled principalities and powers\, he made a shew of them openly\, triumphing over them in it. \n

SUMMARY:Cursing and Swearing
DESCRIPTION:Mark 14:71 But he began to curse and to swear\, [saying]\, I know not this man of whom ye speak. \nWhen we speak of cursing\, people think of some words that have power to harm people\, and similarly when they speak of blessing they think of the opposite\, words that have power of benefit. \nOur words (phonics) have no power whatsoever; it is the truth or lie that it delivers that has power. The Word of God is truth; thus\, the Word of God has power\, and anything that is against the Word (that is\, a lie) also has power to do the opposite. The Word of God gives life\, and lies lead to death. \nWe do not add or remove from people’s lives by blessing or cursing; we only quicken that which the Lord has already provided. When we bless\, we quicken the good things (like rewards)\, and when we curse\, we quicken the bad (like punishment). \nThe Greek word translated as curse is the word ‘anathematizo’ which is interpreted as ‘to declare oneself liable to the severest divine penalties’. \nWhen we bless someone\, we highlight the good in their lives and thus quicken the rewards due\, and when we curse\, we highlight the wrongs and thus quicken punishment on them; in both cases we judge. In case of blessing\, we pass a favourable judgment and in case of cursing we pass a negative one. We are warned against cursing because if we do not show mercy\, we ourselves will be deprived of it. \nLike in the prayer ‘Our Father’\, we are warned against withholding forgiveness unto others else we will also run the danger of not been forgiven. Similarly when we curse people then we do land the danger of being cursed ourselves (judged negatively). But if the Lord has asked us to warn or deliver negative judgment we do curse but only pass the judgment as messengers and do not run the danger of being punished\, if we do not then we will be. Thus asking people to repent is one such warning which we as messengers deliver and are not the ones judging. \n[Prayer Starter]\nLord\, You are Almighty God. You\, Lord\, are All-Knowing and All-Seeing; nothing is hidden from You. You alone can judge righteously. Lord\, we pray and understand that we do not know everything or see everything; only through Your Word and Your Spirit can we judge. We pray we always remember to deal with others as You have dealt with us… \nWe make this prayer in Jesus’ Name\, Amen. \n[Reference Scriptures]\nMatthew 5:44 But I say unto you\, Love your enemies\, bless them that curse you\, do good to them that hate you\, and pray for them which despitefully use you\, and persecute you; \nActs 23:12 And when it was day\, certain of the Jews banded together\, and bound themselves under a curse\, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they had killed Paul. \nMatthew 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses\, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: \n

SUMMARY:Man is not judged
DESCRIPTION:John 1:51 And he saith unto him\, Verily\, verily\, I say unto you\, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open\, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man. \nIf we understand the Bible\, man who lost the image of God due to sin/corruption is processed to have not just the image restored but to be upgraded. Thus\, man does not return\, but a transformed man who Jesus states as Angels. This He demonstrated and confirmed by His transfiguration. \nThose who reject the Lord or are rejected by the Lord suffer their sins in Hell; they judge themselves. It is those who believe are the ones who stand before the Judgment Seat. The interesting part is that none have a say in what they are\, for what they are will be manifested into what they transform into. The sheep\, those who do the Will of the Lord and abide in Him\, will transform into Heavenly Angels\, while the goats\, those who believe in the Lord but do not abide in His Will/do His Will\, will also transform into angels but fallen angels/demons and will be punished along with Satan and those one-third kept from the starting in the Lake of Fire. \nWord of God says the Word within us will judge us. It will bring out what is within us. It is only while we are in the flesh that we can mould our souls/inner-man; we cannot do anything once we die our natural death\, something no one knows when it will knock on our doors. So let us not waste the day and work as if there is no tomorrow. \n[Prayer Starter]\nLord\, You are Almighty God. You are our Creator; everything that exists is made by You. Lord\, You made all things for a purpose; it is only when we understand that purpose that we will realise how awesome You are. Lord\, we pray we are not deceived by lusts for things of this world but seek that which is Heavenly. We pray we realise the cost in rejecting Your Word and not abiding in it… \nWe make this prayer in Jesus’ Name. Amen. \n[Reference Scriptures]\nRomans 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. \n2 Corinthians 5:10-11\n10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things [done] in [his] body\, according to that he hath done\, whether [it be] good or bad.\n11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord\, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences. \nJohn 16:11 Of judgment\, because the prince of this world is judged. \nJohn 12:47 And if any man hear my words\, and believe not\, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world\, but to save the world. \nJohn 8:24 I said therefore unto you\, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am [he]\, ye shall die in your sins. \n

SUMMARY:Last to First
DESCRIPTION:Matthew 20:8 So when even was come\, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward\, Call the labourers\, and give them [their] hire\, beginning from the last unto the first. \nRationally\, we follow the first-in\, first-out principle; we only use last-in\, first-out when using a vessel to store something. \nToday’s scripture is a parable of Judgment Day. On Judgment Day\, the first resurrection involves only the Elect\, and then everyone asleep in Christ arises. Those who are asleep in Christ arise at the same time\, so the parable is not about priority. We need to understand that it is more difficult to be a Christian today than it was before. Even though we speak about equality\, religious tolerance\, inclusivity\, etc. Yet not just in the outside world but even in the Church\, one will find it very difficult to be a Christian\, to stand for the values which the Bible speaks of. \nWhen there is little understanding of the Bible\, then all is good. But when we understand more\, the whole scenario changes; one starts to wonder all that is happening in the Church: what does it have to do with Christ or His Kingdom? \nToday’s scripture is not about being first or last but getting a better reward in Heaven (near to the Throne/Glory of God). Let us be thankful we are born in this time\, and let us not lose the opportunity to seek a higher reward/crown in Heaven. \n[Prayer Starter]\nLord\, You are Almighty God. You are a Just God\, and all that You do is Just. Lord\, we pray we do not be fooled by worldly peace but see the war against truth that is being played. We pray we understand the battle is getting more difficult than before\, so we build ourselves stronger… \nWe make this prayer in Jesus’ Name. Amen. \n[Reference Scriptures]\nMatthew 20:9-11\n9 And when they came that [were hired] about the eleventh hour\, they received every man a penny.\n10 But when the first came\, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.\n11 And when they had received [it]\, they murmured against the goodman of the house\, \nJames 5:1-8\n1 Go to now\, [ye] rich men\, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon [you].\n2 Your riches are corrupted\, and your garments are motheaten.\n3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you\, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.\n4 Behold\, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields\, which is of you kept back by fraud\, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.\n5 Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth\, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts\, as in a day of slaughter.\n6 Ye have condemned [and] killed the just; [and] he doth not resist you.\n7 Be patient therefore\, brethren\, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold\, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth\, and hath long patience for it\, until he receive the early and latter rain.\n8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. \n

SUMMARY:The Waters shall be healed
DESCRIPTION:Ezekiel 47:8 Then said he unto me\, These waters issue out toward the east country\, and go down into the desert\, and go into the sea: [which being] brought forth into the sea\, the waters shall be healed. \nIt is very sad when we see that\, even after 2000 years\, people have yet not learned how to study the Bible. They use the same approach as they used for historical documents\, therefore are unable to understand it. \nWhen I came to know the Lord and had the thirst to study the Bible\, I immediately wanted to join a Bible college\, but the Lord prevented me to do and told me that He would personally teach me. The Lord then taught me according to Isaiah 28:9-11. My Calling is that of a Teacher\, therefore\, this was possible for me; the same would not be for others. Although the Lord spoke to Paul\, he needed people with Calling of a Teacher\, like Luke and Mark\, to guide him. \nThe stages of studying Biblical history (Commentaries)\, cross-reference\, and language study are not that difficult\, and many Bible colleges partly do them. The problem comes with the fourth stage\, which is Bible symbolism\, Bible numerics\, Bible codes\, etc.; these require wisdom that comes from the Lord. i.e. the word Yahweh (YHWH) in Hebrew is not a word but a symbol that identifies the Lord. The Hebrew alphabets are ideograms which have multiple options\, it is only when we use the correct ones we understand it. The words YHWH in Hebrew mean Behold\, Hand\, Behold\, Nail\, and we know that symbolises the Lord Jesus Christ. YHWH is none other than God the Son – the Lord Jesus Christ. \nIf we read Isaiah 28:13\, we see the Israelites (Jews) were not blessed with wisdom to understand the Word; thus saw/seeing destruction\, they could not recognise their Saviour\, just because they were stiff-necked. \nLet us not be hard-hearted\, stiff-necked people who become goats rather than sheep\, people who are ultimately punished more than unbelievers. \nToday’s scripture is from the set Ezekiel 41-47\, which speaks of a Temple. Anyone with a sense of architecture or perspective measurements would find these chapters nonsense. It was after I wrote 3 books on the Inner-man/heart that the Lord led me to these chapters\, stating that they give a perspective of a perfect inner-man/heart. For years\, even after being blessed with wisdom I have yet to understand these chapters. I know I would need undivided attention\, not doing anything else\, spending weeks continuously just to understand them. The book of Songs of Solomon\, which takes days to days to digest each verse is still easier than Ezekiel 41-47 (the book Songs of Solomon is nothing to what people think of it). \nLet us not take the Word of God so lightly. We are called to have something like dedicated research centres that just work on decoding and expounding the Word unto all. \n[Prayer Starter]\nLord\, You are Almighty God. You Lord created everything and made everything according to design. It is understanding of the design that we understand the things of the Spiritual Kingdom. Lord we pray we see things beyond their natural appearance. We pray You bless your people with wisdom\, we pray for more and more Teachers… \nWe make this prayer in Jesus’ Name\, Amen. \n[Reference Scriptures]\nIsaiah 28:13-15\n13 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept\, precept upon precept; line upon line\, line upon line; here a little\, [and] there a little; that they might go\, and fall backward\, and be broken\, and snared\, and taken.\n14 Wherefore hear the word of the LORD\, ye scornful men\, that rule this people which [is] in Jerusalem.\n15 Because ye have said\, We have made a covenant with death\, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through\, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge\, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves: \nJeremiah 23:36-38\n36 And the burden of the LORD shall ye mention no more: for every man’s word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God\, of the LORD of hosts our God.\n37 Thus shalt thou say to the prophet\, What hath the LORD answered thee? and\, What hath the LORD spoken?\n38 But since ye say\, The burden of the LORD; therefore thus saith the LORD; Because ye say this word\, The burden of the LORD\, and I have sent unto you\, saying\, Ye shall not say\, The burden of the LORD;

SUMMARY:No Entry Without Witnessing
DESCRIPTION:Mark 8:38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed\, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. \nPeople are fooled into believing that just by believing in Jesus Christ one will go to Heaven. If that were the case\, then the need to send His Spirit would not be required; baptism in the Holy Spirit would not be necessary. \nPeople think the race which Paul speaks of is a straight track race in which one starts and ends the race. They need to wake up to the fact that this is a relay event. It was started by one man; many joined\, millions ran in between\, and in the end\, just two will finish it. Thus\, running the race is one important criterion\, and also important is the criterion of passing on the baton to another\, or others. While we run\, we also build the one we pass the baton to\, so they run better than us and reach out to many more. At the end\, the two who achieve what the race is meant for qualify all those who ran without giving up to be counted as winners. The winners get to enter the Lord’s Kingdom/Heaven. \nInterestingly\, the existing Heaven created by God The Son is not our final destination. Bible says when the Heavenly Temple is restored (without going to Heaven)\, God The Father is revealed and we become a part of Him. At this time\, the Bible speaks of a New Heaven and a New Nation (Earth). \nLet us not be fooled into locking ourselves in a room and praying for people; prayer is our ignition\, witnessing and ministering is our engine. \nWe need to reach out and build others; else we will not be surprised to hear the words ‘I do not know you’ from the Lord on Judgment Day. \n[Prayer Starter]\nLord\, You are Almighty God. Lord\, we pray we understand we alone are unable to finish the race; it is only when we run as a body do we finish the race. It is only in reaching out to others and building others that we become qualified to enter Your kingdom. We pray You bless us with boldness and wisdom that we go out and witness You unto others\, saying what Your Spirit needs us to… \nWe make this prayer in Jesus’ Name. Amen. \n[Reference Scriptures]\nMatthew 7:20-23\n20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.\n21 Not every one that saith unto me\, Lord\, Lord\, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.\n22 Many will say to me in that day\, Lord\, Lord\, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?\n23 And then will I profess unto them\, I never knew you: depart from me\, ye that work iniquity. \nMatthew 10:32-33\n32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men\, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.\n33 But whosoever shall deny me before men\, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. \n1 Corinthians 9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all\, but one receiveth the prize? So run\, that ye may obtain. \nHebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses\, let us lay aside every weight\, and the sin which doth so easily beset [us]\, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us\,

SUMMARY:Not by Commandment
DESCRIPTION:2 Corinthians 8:8 I speak not by commandment\, but by occasion of the forwardness of others\, and to prove the sincerity of your love. \nPaul in his letters (written by him and his team\, sometimes himself) was very clear what is inspired/as per Scripture\, and when he wrote according to his understanding\, not sure it was right or not. \nToday’s scripture\, we see Paul confirming something that he was not very sure about but shared his personal experience. \nWhen we share the Word\, we should be very careful about what is our own and what is of God. It is only when we draw that line that what is our own will reduce more and more. Paul drew that line; therefore\, we see that this is mentioned in just 4 or 5 instances. \nWhat we see happening with Preachers today is that they share more of their conclusions as the Word\, and people believe them more than what the Word of God says. They read the Word yet se their conclusion more than what the Word says. It is for this reason that they do Lord\, Lord and still are far from the Lord. \n[Prayer Starter]\nLord\, You are Almighty God. You are Holy God. You are Perfect in every way. Lord\, we pray we do not make ourselves Your enemies by misinterpreting Your Word and making You a liar. Lord\, we pray we learn to draw the line as to what is from You and what is according to our understanding… \nWe make this prayer in Jesus’ Name. Amen. \n[Reference Scriptures]\n1 Corinthians 7:12-13\n12 But to the rest speak I\, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not\, and she be pleased to dwell with him\, let him not put her away.\n13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not\, and if he be pleased to dwell with her\, let her not leave him. \n1 Corinthians 7:25-26\n25 Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment\, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful.\n26 I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress\, [I say]\, that [it is] good for a man so to be. \n1 Corinthians 7:39-40\n39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead\, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.\n40 But she is happier if she so abide\, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit of God.

SUMMARY:Following Process
DESCRIPTION:Luke 17:14 And when he saw [them]\, he said unto them\, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass\, that\, as they went\, they were cleansed. \nSamaria was the capital of northern Israel. The tribes of northern Israel were called Samaritans/Samarians. They were hated by the Jews\, who were from southern Israel and named after their capital\, Jerusalem. The Jews were followers of traditions and thus considered themselves righteous\, while the Samaritans and Galileans were jumbled into a concoction of pagan traditions; therefore\, they were looked down on by the Jews as heathens. \nWhen passing the place between Samaria and Galilee\, some lepers called out to Jesus for help. Jesus simply told them to show themselves to the priests. By doing this\, He did two things. First\, He tested their faith\, for a leper would show himself to the priest only after he was healed. So by telling them to go and show themselves\, He tested their faith\, and since they showed faith\, they were healed while on the journey. Secondly\, Jesus did not step over the toes of the Jews; He followed the OT process of the priest being the authority of a person being free of leprosy\, which the Jews followed as tradition (without understanding). \nJesus did try not to step on the toes of Jews as much as possible\, but there are many times we read that it was a Sabbath and Jesus went to the Synagogue and healed people. He knew his actions would make them furious\, but He did not hold back. In places where I would affect others\, we find Jesus did not confront face to face\, but in places where it was between Him and them\, there Jesus took them face on. \n[Prayer Starter]\nLord\, You are Almighty God. Lord\, You are the Prince of Peace; Peace comes only from You. Peace does not mean to submit to all powers. Lord\, we pray that we understand that to have peace\, we need to submit to You and You alone. There will be times when we will need to show patience with the powers/authorities of this world… \nWe make this prayer in Jesus’ Name. Amen. \n[Reference Scriptures]\nLuke 17:11-13\n11 And it came to pass\, as he went to Jerusalem\, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.\n12 And as he entered into a certain village\, there met him ten men that were lepers\, which stood afar off:\n13 And they lifted up [their] voices\, and said\, Jesus\, Master\, have mercy on us. \nLuke 6:6 And it came to pass also on another sabbath\, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered. \nLuke 13:10-12\n10 And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.\n11 And\, behold\, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years\, and was bowed together\, and could in no wise lift up [herself].\n12 And when Jesus saw her\, he called [her to him]\, and said unto her\, Woman\, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. \nLuke 14:1-4\n1 And it came to pass\, as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the sabbath day\, that they watched him.\n2 And\, behold\, there was a certain man before him which had the dropsy.\n3 And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees\, saying\, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day?\n4 And they held their peace. And he took [him]\, and healed him\, and let him go; \n

SUMMARY:Justified God
DESCRIPTION:Luke 7:29-30 And all the people that heard [him]\, and the publicans\, justified God\, being baptized with the baptism of John. But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves\, being not baptized of him. \nThe Greek word translated as ‘justified’ is the word ‘dikaioo’ which speaks of rendering righteousness\, a conjugation of the verb. \nWe read in today’s scripture that all the people who were baptised with the baptism of John\, ‘justified God’\, meaning they considered Him to be righteous; what we see also mentioned here is that amongst these were publicans – tax collectors\, people considered extreme sinners\, as we look at politicians today. At the same time\, the Pharisees and Sadducees\, who were tagged with being righteous and knowing Scripture respectively\, rejected the warning against themselves; they did not accept the baptism of repentance. \nThe first step to accepting God is to accept that we are sinners and need Him. A person who feels they are ‘good’ and that nothing is wrong with them\, and that what they have done is nothing of great concern\, will never accept/turn to God or know God. They will be religious but never righteous. \nTo become righteous\, we need to accept how unrighteous we are; it is only then the Lord works in us through our baptism in Him and makes us His righteous. \n[Prayer Starter]\nLord\, You are Almighty God. You Lord are Holy God and You alone are Holy. You are Righteous and since we are far from the Truth we are also far from Righteousness. We acknowledge the corruption is us and that we need You\, only You can save us by transforming us. Lord we pray we surrender more and more to You and not be fooled by religion and traditions… \nWe make this prayer in Jesus’ Name\, Amen. \n[Reference Scriptures]\nPsalms 51:4 Against thee\, thee only\, have I sinned\, and done [this] evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest\, [and] be clear when thou judgest. \nRomans 3:4-6\n4 God forbid: yea\, let God be true\, but every man a liar; as it is written\, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings\, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.\n5 But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God\, what shall we say? [Is] God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)\n6 God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world? \nLuke 3:12-13\n12 Then came also publicans to be baptized\, and said unto him\, Master\, what shall we do?\n13 And he said unto them\, Exact no more than that which is appointed you. \n

SUMMARY:Be Imitators of God
DESCRIPTION:Ephesians 5:1 Be ye therefore imitators of God\, as beloved children; \nBeing children of God\, we are called to imitate Him. In today’s scripture\, it is not just a request but a command. It does not say if possible or please\, but a direct instruction. \nNo being has seen God\, so how is it possible to imitate Him? \nIn the very subsequent verses\, we see Paul speaks of imitating someone we have known in person through Scripture and witnesses who have seen and interacted with Him\, and that is Jesus Christ. \nLord Jesus Christ took the form of man in the flesh\, and while in the flesh He manifested the Nature of the Father. We come to know the Father only through Him. He\, as God The Son\, created the Heavens and all of creation that exists\, so the only way to know the Father is by knowing Him. \nCan we expect God to invite us to be part of Him if we are not emulating Him as His Children? Can a man accept a child as his if the child looks like another race? \n[Prayer Starter]\nLord\, You are Almighty God. You are Father. A Part of You created us and all that exists. Lord\, we pray that we understand that to be part of You\, we have to share something common in You. Lord we pray we be more and more like Jesus who as man manifested You for He alone knows You and has seen You… \nWe make this prayer in Jesus’ Name\, Amen. \n[Reference Scriptures]\nEphesians 5:2-4\n2 And walk in love\, as Christ also hath loved us\, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.\n3 But fornication\, and all uncleanness\, or covetousness\, let it not be once named among you\, as becometh saints;\n4 Neither filthiness\, nor foolish talking\, nor jesting\, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. \nJohn 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son\, which is in the bosom of the Father\, he hath declared [him]. \nJohn 6:46 Not that any man hath seen the Father\, save he which is of God\, he hath seen the Father. \n1 John 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another\, God dwelleth in us\, and his love is perfected in us. \n

SUMMARY:Complacent Paul!
DESCRIPTION:Acts 21:30 And all the city was moved\, and the people ran together: and they took Paul\, and drew him out of the temple: and forthwith the doors were shut. \nYesterday in Church the topic was about Paul. The preacher spoke of Paul’s struggles and his victories. But he failed to present the human Paul\, who had deficiencies and made mistakes even at his spiritual peak. A person who loved the Lord and whom the Lord loved\, yet was not given everything\, even though he was under abundant grace. He had to become an overcomer. \nI have pointed out many times that Paul was a bad orator. A preacher who caused people to sleep with his boring\, long speeches. People said he wrote strong letters\, but in person there was no fire in his sharing. He asked the Lord thrice for help in this matter\, but the Lord left him to fend for himself and overcome\, stating the grace given unto him was sufficient. \nToday’s scripture points to the second part of Paul where he erred. Paul had beforehand received multiple warnings through people and also through the mouth of a Prophet about what awaited him in Jerusalem. Was Paul complacent\, careless\, dismissive\, flippant or negligent to ignore it? \nThe warning did not tell him not to go\, but was about being careful\, and he did not. In Jerusalem\, Paul did something which he himself was a champion against\, that is\, traditions. He\, under the influence of the praise of the Church leaders\, consented to be party to a Jewish tradition just to please some to become Christians. \nAnyone wanting to become a Christian cannot knowingly build bridges to gradually move residence from falsehood to truth. One needs to deny or reject falsehood and accept the truth to become a Christian. One cannot say I will continue a few traditions\, or worship fewer gods before accepting the Lord God. \nA seasoned\, mature Paul too became prey to praises and adoration. He did something that had no sense or anything to do with God. He was warned\, but instead of understanding the warning\, he took it as a challenge and went ahead. This one mistake led to his death\, but the Lord\, in His mercy\, made sure Paul completed his mission even after being arrested in Rome. \nLet us be extra careful when people keep praising you. If you do not have anyone who can correct you around you\, then you are in great danger. Do not hate or flee from the person who rebukes you; instead\, give thought and see if that person is seeing something that you are blind to. That one person may be more valuable than a hundred who please you. \n[Prayer Starter]\nLord\, You are Almighty God. You are a Merciful God\, always wanting to help us\, but You will not fail the purpose You created us for\, which is to overcome darkness. Lord\, we pray that we understand we are not perfect and need to work to be perfect in You. You help us\, but that does not mean we can outsource everything unto You. Lord\, we pray we understand we need to take caution at every time and never let our guard down… \nWe make this prayer in Jesus’ Name. Amen. \n[Reference Scriptures]\n2 Corinthians 11:6 But though [I be] rude in speech\, yet not in knowledge; but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things. \n2 Corinthians 10:10 For [his] letters\, say they\, [are] weighty and powerful; but [his] bodily presence [is] weak\, and [his] speech contemptible. \nActs 20:9 And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus\, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching\, he sunk down with sleep\, and fell down from the third loft\, and was taken up dead. \nActs 21:4\, 10-14\, 18-20\, 23-24\n4 And finding disciples\, we tarried there seven days: who said to Paul through the Spirit\, that he should not go up to Jerusalem.\n10 And as we tarried [there] many days\, there came down from Judaea a certain prophet\, named Agabus.\n11 And when he was come unto us\, he took Paul s girdle\, and bound his own hands and feet\, and said\, Thus saith the Holy Ghost\, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle\, and shall deliver [him] into the hands of the Gentiles.\n12 And when we heard these things\, both we\, and they of that place\, besought him not to go up to Jerusalem.\n13 Then Paul answered\, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only\, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.\n14 And when he would not be persuaded\, we ceased\, saying\, The will of the Lord be done.\n18 And the [day] following Paul went in with us unto James; and all the elders were present.\n19 And when he had saluted them\, he declared particularly what things God had wrought among the Gentiles by his ministry.\n20 And when they heard [it]\, they glorified the Lord\, and said unto him\, Thou seest\, brother\, how many thousands of Jews there are which believe; and they are all zealous of the law:\n23 Do therefore this that we say to thee: We have four men which have a vow on them;\n24 Them take\, and purify thyself with them\, and be at charges with them\, that they may shave [their] heads: and all may know that those things\, whereof they were informed concerning thee\, are nothing; but [that] thou thyself also walkest orderly\, and keepest the law. \n
