DESCRIPTION:Daniel 2:13 And the decree went forth that the wise [men] should be slain; and they sought Daniel and his fellows to be slain. \nIf one studies history\, the Tower of Babel triggered world languages\, and the Babylonian era triggered world technology and the birth of modern religions. \nNebuchadnezzar had a craze for mystical things\, and this led him to collect the best minds from various parts of the world. He invaded countries and wiped them not only of their riches but also of their learned ones. \nIndia’s own golden era (Gupta Empire) started with the Maurya Empire (Emperor Ashoka)\, and this was because of its close relationship with the Babylonian Empire. One can see that Emperor Ashoka had official seals that were in Hebrew. Babylon did not change the beliefs of anyone but accepted them all and brought them under its fold. The oldest Sanskrit artefact is of this era and from this region. \nThe scripture says that when Nebuchadnezzar was disappointed with all the learned he had gathered\, for none could interpret his dream\, his ministers insinuated him to slaughter the wise\, and ironically the first on the list were Daniel and his colleagues. They were the ones who truly knew God and were the wisest amongst all that were there. \nIn Churches today\, we see the same happening. Preachers who preach the truth are sidelined/excommunicated silently\, but those who are destroying the masses with junk food are lifted on pedestals. \nTruth causes discomfort\, like the Bread of the Lord’s Table (His message) they ignite a conflict within us. This conflict leads to change\, which the world hates. \nOne will notice that famous Preacher’s audiences remain in the same spiritual state and never grow or go out ministering independently; they will always be in the shadow of that Preacher. The only thing growing is the riches and fame of the Preacher and his core members. The Kingdom of God has little to do here. \n[Prayer Starter]\nLord\, You are Almighty God. You\, Lord\, humbled Yourself and became a sacrifice for mankind so that man could be lifted. Lord\, we pray that we who call ourselves Your Disciples follow You; we do not seek our own desires but the edification of others… \nWe make this prayer in Jesus’ Name\, Amen. \n[Reference Scriptures]\nActs 13:41 Behold\, ye despisers\, and wonder\, and perish: for I work a work in your days\, a work which ye shall in no wise believe\, though a man declare it unto you. \nRomans 1:22-25\n22 Professing themselves to be wise\, they became fools\,\n23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man\, and to birds\, and fourfooted beasts\, and creeping things.\n24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts\, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:\n25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie\, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator\, who is blessed for ever.
