About this site.

This web site is a Daily Devotion website with the prime purpose to keep people in touch with the Word of God and the Spirit of God, daily.

In the books of Moses we learn that even though the Israelites were not perfect, yet the Lord gave them Manna from Heaven everyday (collected twice the quantity on Fridays, this was for Saturdays).

Exodus 16:35
35 And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan.

The daily message is Heavenly Manna for us which nourishes us on our journey, till we reach our promise land - Heaven. You need to take the daily Manna (in Hebrew means "What is it?") and like the Israelites did, ground it (simplify it - which is already done and sent to you), beat it (give it thought), bake it (see in which area of your live it needs to be applied), make cake of it (take delight it in) and eat it (live it). Before preparation the taste of the Manna was like wafers made of honey and after preparation the cakes tasted like juicy olives. Similarly the Word which just looks good will become an anointed Word and will do wonders in your life.

Exodus 16:31
31 And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.

Numbers 11:8
8 And the people went about, and gathered it, and ground it in mills, or beat it in a mortar, and baked it in pans, and made cakes of it: and the taste of it was as the taste of fresh (juicy) oil (olives).

The Word of God is like lamp unto our feet (for your today) and a light unto our path (and your tomorrows).

Like when you eat your food you need to chew your food properly to be healthy, so also when we read the Word of God, more concentration should be given on meditating and receiving the understanding of the scripture than trying to just read as much of the Bible.

In the mails I take one or two scriptures and start the chewing process for you, so that you can continue and get maximum possible nourishment from it.

The attached [Starting Prayer] at the bottom of the mails is to give you a short guideline so as to start your own prayer. So please do not get stuck at the launch pad by just saying the attached prayer, but take off by expanding on it in your own words.

The [Reference Scriptures] sometimes given at the bottom help confirm the explanation given in the message and sometimes connected scriptures to help you to study further on the topic.

About me.

My name is Bro. R. DSouza. I am an Indian living in Mumbai, married and blessed with a lovely daughter; but firstly I am a Christian. Professionally I am into IT (Information Technology) business. Although I was born in a Christian family I really did not know Christ until my world shook and in my darkness I came to know the Lord.

My life changed in 2005 when I really surrendered myself to Christ and gave my heart unto Him. Now my life's purpose is to bring the Lord's sheep to Him.

Jesus Christ is one and His sheep are one, so I do not support or encourage divisions among His sheep. We all have limited understanding of the Bible and if our basics of who Jesus is, and how we receive our salvation through His death and resurrection is clear, then the other things should not be reason to divide us. We should sit together and study the Word and let the Spirit of God - the Spirit of Truth churn out the understanding for us.

How you can be a part of this site?

This site is for building each other in the Word of God. You can add your family, friends, colleagues and people you know, who can be helped by the Word, to the mailing-list.

If you are not sure they would like to receive these mails daily, you can start by praying for them and forwarding a few mails to them and I am sure they will be blessed and they themselves will join soon.

Spreading the Word and building people in the Word is not just my mission, but as a believer it is your mission too.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
