The Comforter will testify

John 15:26 - But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

The root difference between a Christian, and Muslim and a Jew; although all claim to worship the same God is the Comforter. When we acknowledge Jesus Christ as our Lord and Master, accepting His sacrifice in our lives, believing that He died for our sins and made peace for us with God our Father; we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit - the Spirit of Truth (the Holy Spirit here is specifically defined as the Spirit of Truth).

It is only by the Spirit of Truth that we are given the ability to understand the Word of God. It is only by the Spirit of Truth that faith comes alive in us and we come to know Jesus better. It is only by the Spirit of Truth that mercy is made available to us in abundance. Like these there are many more things which are all connected to the Spirit of Truth.

If we are lacking in any of these areas all we need to do is make the sacrifice of Jesus personal in our lives and let the Spirit of God - the Spirit of Truth operate within us.

Let us pray in our hearts that we may receive more of the Spirit of Truth by reminding ourselves everyday that Jesus died for our sins, by spending more time with the Word of God studying it and letting the character of Jesus Christ come alive in us.

Lord Jesus, I thank You that by your sacrifice You gave us the Spirit of Truth. I want to be full of the Holy Spirit lacking nothing. Help me Holy Spirit to be an instrument by which You can testify Jesus Christ to the world. I make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.
