God's Word in you will change you

Hosea 14:8 - Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found.

Do you think being a believer we can also be idol worshippers? Yes we can.

I was born in a believing family, we were very religious but our relationship with God was a point decimal unit, in percentage. The Bible was a religious relic like all the other relics that were part of our religious practices. It was read but never understood. It was only when messengers of God sowed a Word of God in me and when I started meditating on that word; the Word started bringing down all the idols in me. These included the religious idols (things which I had lifted up against God's Word and made God jealous of His Glory - for our God is a Jealous God and He does not share His Glory with any one other than His Son) and personal idols (fame, prosperity, status, soul-mate, career etc...)

When the Word becomes alive in us it does not stay dormant, it starts working, uprooting all the weeds that are not of God's Kingdom. Even one scripture has the potential to change our life if we bring it alive in us. Do not just read God's Word bring it alive by mediating on it.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Father God, I thank You for your Word. It is alive and working in me, breaking down all the illegal structures which I have created by man's understanding and by my own desires which I put before and above You. I like You to bless those messengers You sent, who sowed these words in me. I make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

4 I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him.
5 I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.

7 They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon.
8 Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found.
9 Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.

Exodus 34:14
14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
