Want your desires fulfilled?
Psalms 37:4 - Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
The word 'delight' used here is a very tone down translation of the Hebrew word 'anag' it means to dedicate or to make habit of, other than to make merry.
Just making merry in the Lord will not get us the desires of our heart. For this we need to first trust in God be good and make God a habit or dedicate ourselves to Him. This understanding goes well with the other scriptures.
Having a habit is getting into something so much that without knowing we still do it. It is something that goes beyond your mind into our spirit. So we need to make the Lord a part of us not only when we think of Him but even when we are not mentally alert of Him. This can happen only when we make God the top priority in our lives.
[ Prayer Starter ]
Father God, You are God of all creation. We deprive You from working in our lives because we do not make You the top priority in our lives. You sent your Son as man so that we can have a King who we can see. Lord Jesus, help me by your Spirit to set You above everything so that I may be bless in everything. This I ask in your mighty Name, Amen.
