1 John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

Preachers speak of Agape being Father’s love / God’s kind of love and Agapao as human love. They err in this because of their lack of knowledge of the Greek language. ‘Agape’ is the Greek word for the verb ‘love’, and ‘Agapao’ is a conjugation of the verb and means ‘I love’.

Man did not know the meaning of love until the Lord came as a man, Jesus and manifested love. That means we have started to know love. It may shock people to realize even after 2000 years people yet err to understand love i.e. they say ‘love is sacrifice’, they do not realize sacrifice is a outcome cause of love and not love itself.

Like it is written ‘God is love’ so also it is written ‘God is good’. They both connect so much that we mix one with the other.

Like I said before it was only some days back I discovered love is the will to do good. It is only when we dig into scriptures of the OT and NT that we will understand this. All scriptures point to this fact that God wills our good and the power of that will is what we call love of God.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are Almighty God. You are Love. You God will our good. You humbled Yourself in the beginning and created us for the good plan You have for us. Lord we pray we understand the power of willing, if we do not will the goodness of our brethren then we do not know You or are in You. Lord we pray we understand love and remain in that true love which You manifested and still manifest for us…

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
