Luke 21:7 And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign [will there be] when these things shall come to pass?
If we look at the Bible, most of the great disasters have not come suddenly, but multiple warnings were given before they happened. If God had to just destroy people, then there was no holding Him back, but He intends to get people to repent, so He always gave warnings and also made a way in most situations for an escape.
Today’s scripture speaks of signs that the Lord gave just before the great disaster of Jerusalem. He did that because His wrath against them had built up, but His mercy still held strong, such that He gave a sign just before it happened.
Since yesterday, I have been worried about a disaster I was warned about, and things have not been going well. The Lord spoke to me through today’s scripture that He is in control, and just before it happens, He will make a way out. He is speaking to others also, be tuned to Him for great disasters would come, He will guide us at the right time, if we listen to His voice.
Men/Women of God are a great blessing, but if they wander away from God, they become the greatest threat to all. What I have realised is that when those who have chosen to lead do things against Him, that is the time His wrath truly flows, and it consumes many.
David made a mistake by not stopping his army chiefs from killing many just to satisfy his desire to drink water from a particular well, so God led him to be tested to number his people (that was an escape from His wrath) but he failed the test and did number his people, that led to thousands of his people being slaughtered at the hands of an Angel.
If God is seated on the Throne of our hearts/inner man/soul, then we do not need to worry, He will take care of us and those with us.

Lord, You are Almighty God. You, Lord, are Living God. You are Omniscient God for nothing is hidden from You. Time or space are not a factor for You. Lord, we pray we learn to trust You more and more, and more important be tuned to Your Voice…
