Hosea 4:14 I will not punish your daughters when they commit whoredom, nor your spouses when they commit adultery: for themselves are separated with whores, and they sacrifice with harlots: therefore the people [that] doth not understand shall fall.

People pray:
I am covered by the blood of Jesus Christ, and I am saved from Hell.

I cover myself in the blood of Jesus Christ, and Satan has no power over me

Out of the above two statements, one is right and the other wrong. The first is right and the second is wrong.

The blood of Jesus Christ (His sacrifice) was shed to protect us from the wrath of God. The blood is precious and cannot be demeaned to be used against Satan; if we do it, we are lifting Satan to the level of God, the very thing he desires. It is important to have right understand for we may be played in the hand of Satan. For Satan we are simply called to rebuke him and he will flee.

Today’s scripture talks of God not punishing His people. Many may find it good but sadly it is when God sees no hope in changing us that He ignores the wrong we are doing. That does not mean we will go scot-free, it only means we doomed for the worst on Judgment day.

Let us understand correction and punishment is good for hope is not lost and there is a possibility for change. So if we are knowing the Lord and are seeing problems in our lives then rejoice on the fact that God has not given up on us.

If Satan says God does not love us while we are suffering, tell him, he is a liar. It is God’s Fatherly love that desires change in us. So let us not let Him down and bring correction while we can.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, You are Almighty God. You are our Father, for You are our Creator, Protector and Provider. You love us and do not want our destruction, thus You punish us when we do not listen. You see hope of change is us. Lord we pray we abide in You that we may not need punishment and if we still err do correct us like You did o David Your son…

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
