Matthew 27:66 So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.
In a crime scene like murder, the police, after doing their initial investigation, seal the place until the full investigation is over. The seal alerts others that the place is under the custody of the authorities who have sealed it.
In the book of Daniel, we see the symbolism of putting a seal on the stone. The king and his lords put their seal on the stone after putting Daniel in the lions’ den. The seal confirmed who had authorised it and their consent.
Sealing warned anyone from the outside from interfering and helping. In both cases of Daniel and Jesus, those who sealed feared their supports thus had the stone was also guarded. And in both cases, they did not imagine that the ones within did not need any help from outside.
In many situations, good or bad, we worry about forces outside and do not realise the powers within are sufficient. Let us be aware of the powers internal more than the powers external. In good cases, we need to ignite that power and in bad cases, we need to put all our efforts into extinguishing it.

Lord, You are Almighty God. You made us in Your Image. We pray we understand the power of that image and work to ignite it. We also pray that sin has corrupted us and the power of sin causes death to work within us. We pray Lord, we discern the powers within and understand the dangers/benefit it holds…
